Ironically, the icon of these 'bolts' is in fact a screw. Bolts have flat heads which you use a wrench to work with.

The icon for this item has always made me laugh. Why? Let's break it down.

"Handful": Clearly it's not. Unless they're so humongous that one constitutes a handful.
"Copper": Looks like a slightly rusty, but silvery, metal to me.
"Bolts": As stated above, actually a screw.

How can we players expect Blizz to fix when they can't even depict a handful of copper bolts correctly?

(I'm joking, but note that Blizz did make the icons for BC bolts and WotLK bolts more accurate.)

Thottbot databases aren't 100% correct. This is shown as the first item you can craft in engineering, but it requires 30 engineering points. How would you get to 30 points if there's nothing before it? They forgot copper dynamite, copper blast power, etc.

Also sometimes it says that by disenchanting certain items you get meat. :/

The reason that Thottbot lists strange items in the Disenchants into list is because in the beta - where a lot of Thottbot's information comes from - an enchanter could disenchant ANY item (not just green or above) and you would randomly get ANY other item.

I like the way that the picture for "Handful" of "Copper" "Bolts" is a single, silver-colored screw. How you could get the pic for an item wrong three times is beyond me.

Based on this logic, I'd like to also argue that the top of the screw is a Philips head, and nowhere in the game can you buy a Philips head screwdriver, because the Gyromatic Micro-Adjuster is a flat head and using flat head screwdrivers on Philips screws can damage them and make it difficult to adjust or remove them afterwards.

Ok fine. Call me obsessive-compulsive. Make fun of my attempt to, God forbid, inject a little humor into the game. But check the pic for Handful of Fel Iron Bolts. It's clearly been corrected, so I guess someone in the Blizz art department noticed what I did as well.

Sheesh, leave it to a bunch of humorless gamers whose lives revolve around WoW to suck all the joviality out of a simple observation.

I was fishing off the North Dock in Auberdine (passing time while waiting on the boat) and caught a Dented Crate. Opened up the crate and found 2 handfuls of bolts.
