The new Spellthreads seems fairly cheap in cost.
Crystallized elements are like the motes of TBC, and these requires 2 Crystallized Fire and vendorbought thread!
Seems cheap, though the droprate of Crystallized elements might be lower than todays motes.

the main difference being that you would learn this from a trainer and not require any rep farming. So very easy imo to attain compared to the exalted status with scyer or aldor.

Both Azure Spellthread and Shining Spellthread can be learned at skill 400, and not at 385 and 395 as it says above. They also both go green at 305.

I'm sure some of you are looking at this item because you want to put it on the pants of your twink, or your lowbie to make leveling it less of a chore. If so, don't bother, because any item you use it on will become soulbound if it isn't already. Just a heads up.

These are a much cheaper alternative to the TBC version with the same stats: Golden Spellthread.

The upgrade beyond this is Sapphire Spellthread. Takes 4 Eternal Fire, 4 Iceweb Spider Silk and 1 Frozen Orb to make, and you'll need to find a tailor who's exalted with the Kirin Tor (pattern is a rep reward).

IMO Azure's so cheap you can use it on leveling gear. Sapphire isn't horribly expensive, but it is expensive enough that I'll personally be waiting for solid tier-set-equivalent gear before I upgrade.

For the spellcaster twinks, i heard that this is now soulbinding pants, i wil check to make sure just in case

It is official for the 19 caster twinks, Azure Spellthread will Soulbind Pants. My suggestion is go with Golden Spellthread instead. It may cost a little more, but its the same stats.

Ok found this out today.

If you give both the twink pants and the leg armor (or spell thread) to a lvl 70+ player and have them apply it, it will automatically bind to that player. Even though it does not state it in the Item description.
