Specialization does indeed affect this item.

You will make two pieces of cloth if you are specialized.

Need to be anywhere in "The Nexus" area to make. Right by the summoning stone works fine.

Just to make things crystal clear for tailors regarding specialization (2 procs instead of one).

If you're Spellfire spec you are immediately Spellweave spec.

If you're Shadoweave spec then you're Ebonweave spec.

And the same with Mooncloth, you're Moonshroud.

Hope this clears things up, I know it took me a little while to confirm but for those like me who were ignorant to their spell book it states in there when you hover over your cloth specialization button.

EDITING TO ADD:
You can wear whatever armor from Moonshroud, Ebonweave & Spellweave. There's no Burning Crusade restrictions anymore. The only thing that you are doing when you specialize in a particular cloth is getting that additional proc.

"The Nexus Area" is known as Coldarra and lies in Borean Tundra. Though "The Nexus Area" is the bottom of the cliff that surounds The Nexus.

The "Spellcloth" of WotLK. Raw mats are:

15 Frostweave Cloth
2 Infinite Dust
20 Crystallized Fire

If you are a Spellcloth tailor you will make two of these. If not, you only make one.

To make this you have to be located at The Nexus (not necessary to be inside the instance). The Nexus is located in the middle of Coldarra in Borean Tundra. Coldarra is the island west of the mainland. <Map Link>

When created, you receive the Nexus Residue buff: Increase Haste Rating by 20 for 30 min.

The cooldown is 3 days and 20 hours (92 hours).

How do you change your specialization? I tried going to Shattrath but the specialization trainers there seem to have...vanished. It's sorta crap because they forced us into these 'types' but changed the type of items created with each specialization. Spellfire, for instance, was clearly for people with fire damaging spells, but now it's int/spir and some spell power, while I'd prefer the int/stam spellpower version. And now I have no idea how to change my specialization.

Sadly, these don't seem to be all that profitable at the moment. Even with two per specialization, the AH on my server leaves these at maybe 10g profit once finished compared to the mats. On top of that, no one seems to want to buy them, even at lower prices. Hopefully the next patch adds some buffs to the boes to make them desirable or they make tailoring easier or some new patterns that drive the need for the most expensive profession in the game's top end mats and items.

Patch 3.0.8: Now requires the crafter to be in the Azure Dragonshrine in Dragonblight. Changed from The Nexus.

Ok, i dont think the good people at blizz ever intended there to be a rogue tailor, (i am one and only God knows why) because the Swordgaurd Embroidery (chance on hit to up attack power by 300 for 15 seconds) on a rogue cloak is an I.W.I.N button, i did the calculations and when this procs, my DPS goes up by nearly 30!(for each weapon) i am merely mentioning this here because you need Spellweave to make the embroidery.

Looks like Patch 3.3.3 will be removing the cooldown and location requirements for all these cloths. Sell em now if you got them stocked up cause the market will drop sharply once this happens.

The following changes have been implemented as of Patch 3.3.3:

* There is no longer a 4 day cooldown on creating Spellweave
* You no longer need to be in the Azure Dragonshrine to create Spellweave
* You will no longer receive the +20 Haste buff after creating Spellweave

After the newest patch on 1/20, there is a new location to make this cloth. Go to Azure Dragonshire in Dragonblight (57,64). It's the dark purple crater SW of Wyrmrest Temple.
