Personally, I find this rather lackluster as a flask simply because Flask of Fortification gave only 150 less HP, but it also came with what was a little over 4 defense skill for the level you'd be using it at the most.

I really hope that there're better flasks out there for us, or I'm gonna be left with the belief that Blizzard's concept of making things easier for casual players also means making things like flask much less viable for raiding as a buff, especially when there're are So many Better Options to actually choose from as a combination.

I know that dying a lot and losing the buffs always SUCKS, but, these are really good elixirs and I'd say that if you've got a good group that knows their stuff, it's better to give that risk for a greater buff than that small amount of health can offer.

Alchemy's Mixology passive effect increases the duration of all flasks by 2 extra hours, therefore lasting 4 hours. This effect is only active if the alchemist uses a flask they themselves have the ability to make. Otherwise, they maintain the 2 hour duration on a flask they cannot make themselves.

This seems very underpowered compared to the other Northrend flasks. Flask of Endless Rage gives 180 attack power, while Flask of the Frost Wyrm gives 125 spell power. If the stoneblood had the same item budget, it should have about 135-155 stamina worth of health.

A lot of tanks will be tempted to use the significantly more powerful double elixirs, even though they cost you a fortune to use in raids.

You're way better off using elixirs, provided you can afford them.

Somewhat lackluster compared with TBC's Flask of Fortification, which gives only 150HP less, and you gain 10 Def rating over the WOTLK version, here's hoping that they add plenty of new consumables and recipes for professions with the coming of the next raid instances in 3.1 etc

IMO, the Elixir of Mighty Fortitude paired with the Guru's Elixir is better than this. While this is simply a 650 HP buff, the other two are 550 HP(more if you have stam increasing talents; about 650 for droods, and 570 for the other tanking classes), 4HPS (I know that's dumb but w.e), and 20 agility = crit, armor, and dodge.

This flask is lacklaster compared to the other flasks

Pure Mojo (38 Mp5) is bad, but atleast has an amount of stats on it consistent with its iLvl.

I have NO IDEA how Blizzard figures that 650 health is worth the same item value as 180AP/125SP/38MP5.

Speaking literally, this should have closer to a 900-1,000 HP to be consistent. Though every tank would prefer just straight Stamina, that's a long shot considering that the other flasks don't have base stats anymore.

This is can be created as a side effect of using your Northrend Alchemy Research. A nice added bonus, especially when the CD of the Alchemy Research is reduced to 3 days.

I am an alchemist, and I used to think all the 4 new flasks are uber. Until I compare flask of the stoneblood with scroll of stamina VIII. A measly piece of paper is giving double of what a flask gives? Something is wrong here.

Although the argument is that flasks persists through death, lest we forget that scrolls can be casted on pets and party members. And they are cheap and easy to make.

Flask of Stoneblood
Increases the player's maximum health by 750 for 2 hrs. Counts as both a Battle and Guardian elixir. This effect persists through death.

Better, but still weak if it uses the same budget as items!

As of 3.1.0, the duration of Flask of Stoneblood will be reduced to 1 hour/flask. Do not worry though, as the mats will stay the same and you will be able to make 2 flasks instead of 1.

We realize players who currently have stockpiled a lot of flasks may feel like they will lose money with this change, since their current flasks will only last for half as long once 3.1.0 goes live. To partially remedy this, we are going to allow players to exchange any current Northrend flasks (Flask of the Frost Wyrm, Flask of Stoneblood, Flask of Endless Rage and Flask of Pure Mojo) for two flasks with the shorter duration. Flasks from older content will not be grandfathered in, and going forward, it will only be possible to make the flasks with a one hour duration.
