New in 2.1, a great option for AP stackers in a yellow socket or crit stackers in a red socket. Now we just need a pure dps blue option.

They are actually in the game, hence me actually having them socketed on my assasination shoulderpads on my alt rogue. Got no info where you buy/find the recipe though, I'd guess it's a world drop.

As a Rogue, at first glance I was interested in this.

However, after researching it a bit, I would be better off stacking https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=24028 over this.

The difference is fairly minimal, but it is there.

Wicked Noble Topaz
+4 Critical Strike Rating and +8 Attack Power
+.18% critical strike chance and +8 attack power.

Delicate Living Ruby
+8 Agility
+.20% critical strike chance, +8 attack power, AND extra dodge chance. (Pardon me, but I don't remember the conversions for Dodge).

I'll probably use this as Yellow gems for my set.

8 agility + 15% = 9.2 agility (sinister calling)
9.2 ap + 10% = 10.12 ap (deadliness)

so the over all is 0.23% crit and 10.12 ap and 0.47% dodge :)

This gem is not as good as the delicate living ruby for a mutilate based rogue, if you're going for pure crit strike pointage. I made the mistake of changing a delicate living ruby out for one of these (to get the socket bonus) and lost .02 in crit. Go for the agility, forget this one.
