I just realised that this item actually gives a +8 defense bonus, not +19!
Can anyone confirm this?

Edit: nvm, forgot that defense rating isn`t the same as defense skill :P
So it`s 8 defense skill at level 70.

Suprisingly decent tanking ring, especially for the level. Paladins and Druids will see a little more mileage from this than Warriors (due to superior Agi>Dodge conversion), but picking this up whilst levelling to 70 would be a great idea for any tank.
For a lv70 Paladin, its worth noting that this provides more avoidance than the first 3 Violet Signets (1.285% avoidance before kings). Obviously it isn't better once considering all stats, but if you are struggling to reach uncrushable then this could help.

As a tankadin I found that Igained 0.53% avoidance and 1.60% mitigation while wearing Andormu's Tear.
Loss of 18 stamina and .48% crit.

Your results will vary. But given the options I think Ring of the Stonebark is better for druids and warriors and Andormu's Tear better for tankadins.
