Can't figure out why the relatively unremarkable stats on this one given the quest to complete it isn't the easiest there is. It's a PVP/DPS ring, and the amount of +crit is nice, but compared to Conquerer's Band (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=25811) for example, it's a bit lacking due to the total lack of stamina.

I suppose this ring still works nicely for DPS until you can get a better one though. I still use it as I haven't done Shattered Halls yet, and it's the weakest piece in my PVP gear currently.

I have kept all of these rings and use them and/or swap them around as different gear drops for me. Moral, don't destroy any quest items like these as you don't know when you would happily trade some hit for more Crit etc and rings and trinkets are a great way to do this without spoiling gear set bonuses.

As an MM-spec hunter at 70, I did use this for a period until I got the more appropriate 'agility, hit rating and attack power' blue quality rings from the SMV and Netherstorm quests. My spec and gear set-up gives me a good crit rating (~21%), so I chose to vendor it, along with 1 or 2 other low AP rings from other quests.

It's my intention to go for the Auchindoun 50 Spirit Shard ring and the PvP 70 epic one for use as high stam / crit rating ones for PvP and arenas.

I think this would be good for an enhancement shaman.. We can always use crit and AP (str>AP, yeah, but still)
