IMO too much mana regen on this helm makes it look weak on other stats.

I can't see why it's worth it to spend all the mats to get this helm, when https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=27888 is very close to the same stats. Sure, Netherdrake has a bit more crit, and mana regen...but really, I think this pattern needs to be buffed a little bit.

Only really misses out on the +hit rating to be honest... Only problem is that the person making it probably has no use for it. 365 leatherworking means you're already going through heroics, and probably should have found a raid group... (Got my T4 helm when I had 367 leatherworking)

It's a fairly decent helm and whatnot, but it's just totally butt ugly. The only reason I'm ever gonna make it is to sell it, or if a guildy wants one. Otherwise I'm never gonna bother with it.

Better for BM or MM hunter isnt good for SV hunter, nice Pve helm if you have free 18 primal fire :) (18x25gold on AH) other mats are 3-4hours farm

Absolutely horrible. The cost of mats and stats it gives make it just laughable.

Comparing the Storm Helm to the Netherdrake helm:

Raw stat wise:
Storm Helm has 21 stam, 28 int
Netherdrake Helm has 16 stam, 26 int

AP/Crit wise:
Storm Helm has 22 (1.0%) crit chance at 70.
Netherdrake Helm has 31 (1.4%) crit chance at 70.

Storm Helm has 44 AP
Netherdrake Helm has 64 AP

Final Analysis:
It would appear at first Netherdrake Helm is superior AP/Crit wise. The only difference is Storm Helm has sockets. "What big of a difference does this make?" Is what most hunters will ask.

The answer is pretty simple. If you aren't willing/able to absolute get the best gems to socket Storm Helm with, it will be easier to go with Netherdrake since there is no way with green gems you would be able to surpass 20 AP difference between the two. Crit chance is more likely, but it might be tough considering it takes roughly 22 crit chance to = 1% and the average on gems is about 5 or 6.

The stats are minimally different, with a difference of 5 stam and 2 int (50 health, 30 mana). The socket bonus provides a fair stamina boost (increasing the total health by 110). Which is kind of trivial if your just looking for pure damage.

The simplest answer I would say is go with Netherdrake Helm if you do not feel like farming or are cheap :P

What should be added is that u can put in better gems as you go along. The old onse will disapear and u can not get em back. But if u start with a green gem u can atleast replace it and this as manny times as u like and need.

Does anyone know where this drops from; Is it a random drop or is it a vendor item that you need to build up rep for? Any help would be appreciated
