These are nice for lvl 19 twink spell casters and healers. To bad they are unique, so you have to go and get new ones all the time.

I believe this item is stackable though it's unique. Thus Chipped Power Cores wouldn't take too much space when stored in guildbank.

I Biuld lvl 10 twinks, so i have been eying this item for quite a while trying to figure how to get more than one.

Good news: you can farm and keep endless amounts of these crystals and my farm rate was up to 20per hour, steadily.

Bad News: they definitely are unique and so you can only have them in 2 places... Guild bank (as suggested above) or active mailbox.

With that said, i'm going to share my method and location for farming this item and hope it helps somebody.

First, it is only dropped by the Arcane Reavers at Dawnspire in Ghostlands. The stated drop rate is 15% but i found it to be higher after farming a dozen for this experiment. The coords are roughly 78/21. I actually farmed my first 2 on a lvl 10 pally haste twink and did fine but there is alot of running so a mount is a great advantage, use a lvl 20 or higher toon with a mount, to farm these.

So what you do is make a little bag space and head over there and start killing. It's important to kill and loot one by one and not group them up. Most of the time i found that i would get a drop within 3 kills and then just mount up and ride for Tranquillin. I used the mailbox there and mailed the crystal off to my alt. Then rode back to the spire and continued killing till next drop... rinse/repeat.

Now i know that seems so tedious but think of this, including the kills and a round trip to the mailbox to clear my bag of a single crystal, a full round trip was maximum of 5 min, but most trips were more like 3 min, so you are essentially guaranteed a dozen crystals per hour or higher up to 20per hr.

Once you have stuffed your alt's mailbox with endless amounts you simply go to any city bank that has the mailbox very close to the vault and transfer into your Guildbank one by one, or if you want, just leave them in the mail and do a resend every 29 days or less, since it's always faster to find a mailbox than a bank.

There you have it! Pretty basic. enjoy that burst of Spell damage on your lowbie twinks =D

I sure do... a lvl 10 pally for instance gets a 1:1 ratio bonus on heals so: wizard oil + 30 Spell to wep + bloodthistle + crystal = a whopping 73 bonus spell power and there is even more you can do with gear and another enchant. Or try a lvl 10 mage throwing a rank 2 frostbolt at crazy speeds hitting for over 100 damage non-crit? You definitely wanna farm this thing.

Update: Uhm... ya, if you are farming on a 68 DK like i was, try to remember not to "right-click" your chipped core until, AFTER you switch the mailbox to the "send" tab! Wasted a perfectly good power core on a stupid DK.... /facepalm
