In my opinion, the stats on this wand should most interest a discipline/holy priest above other wand-wielding classes, especially since it is possible to spec into talents to increase healing power by adding in a bonus from spirit (Spiritual Guidance), and increase the amount of mana gained from Intellect (Mental Strength).

It should also be noted that priests actually have a need for the high DPS of this wand for grinding; warlocks and mages are able to do large amounts of damage for extended periods of time and have inexpensive or even entirely costless ways of regaining their mana, whereas priests do not. Wand damage is often a non-shadow-specced priest's main source of DPS.

Although your reasoning is sound in many ways, for a raid specced priest with Spiritual Guidance they should have upwards of 100 spell damage from that talent in healing gear.

Also the way stats scale for casters is not as effective as for melee classes giving a priest 100int or 100spr untalented won't give the same effect as giving a warrior 100str and 100agi.

My own personal favourite wand would be https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=21801 the Antenna of Invigoration. Although it's blue it's a very nicely rounded wand and ofc it has nice high dps only 5 less than this.

For me this don't sit well for any caster class :/

As long as you're in ZG anyway, it would be wiser to go for https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=19861 Touch of Chaos instead, which drops off of Hakkar. It has no stat improvements, but adds 18dmg/healing which is much more important for caster classes

Really this wand would be excellent for all wand using classes and I'm sure the raid leaders at the time would pretty much keep it open bid between all wand users to get. All wand using classes would make excellent use of it so there is no point in arguing who will be able to use it better.

Priests: Priests really don't need this. In instance's, they are primarily healers, and using a wand might will agro, as indicated by the DPSThen you sir have never been to MC. The group I go with to MC has all priests use their wands when they are not healing. Not just for judgement of wisdom but to help contribute some damage as well.

Wands can do some nice damage epecially if you got the wand specialization talent maxed out. Priests can afford to get that talent while mages skip it really.

I don't know any mages that touch their wands except when they run out of mana and/or if their is a judgement of wisdom up.

Also, if priests steal aggro from wanding then there is major problems with your raid group.

An argument about who gets what loot... on Thottbot? Bottom line, if you can use it and none of the abilities on it are going to waste, its probably good for your class.

maybe beacuse it is Mar'li's touch...as in bob marley... he knew alot abut peace...not just pot smokeing as he is played out to be. but also sovrignty of africa from brittan he was a peaceful dude.

Most people seem to think that spirit is only good for healing classes, but seem to neglect that mages have a spell called Evocation that restores mana in combat proportional to your spirit. Also, mage armor allows 30% of your mana regen to continue while casting. Also, weapons can be equipped in combat, which means that even if you have a better wand you can swap this item in before you cast your Evocation.

I am not in any way saying that a mage should have priority over a priest (or even a lock), but that everyone who needs this item should be able to roll (or bid) for it. Also, priests would benefit more from a wand with a faster speed for regenning mana with Judgment of Wisdom up. All things taken into consideration, this is a great wand for all caster classes.

Nice stats, *and* it does Nature damage. Right now it's the Alliance's best source of Nature spell damage other than Druids. ;-)

My 60 Disc/Holy priest has had this wand for a while. Personally, I think it has the best wand graphic in the game, but the useability is good too. For grinding, this wand is great. It puts out reasonable dps and allows mana to recoup, so that after the current mob goes down I'm ready for the next mob. In raids I don't pay attention to damage totals but wand exclusively for mana regen when needed.

Got this last night on one of our regular ZG runs and love it!
Love the stats and think it looks so cool, 1st nature wand i have had and still getting used to seeing the green bolt shoot from it :)

This very nice wand droppped last night for the first time in our guild.
I just got exalted and never seen it drop, so for us it is a rare drop.

Im a priest and u need all spirit /manaregen u can get.

There are more wands looking like this one, but fingers in different positions, one has the devil sign, which I think is completely bad! it just don't belong in WoW, and it's quite offensing actuallay...

my warlock picked this up tonight. replaces Rod of Corrosion (which ill hang on to for awhile for the nature resist). ive been running AQ20 and ZG with another guild lately to get more runs in for rep and loot. i missed out on Talon of Furious Concentration in AQ from Moam, but tonight, this wand dropped and i rolled a 97. i felt a little bad because a mage from the guild running the instance got a 96, but its only my 3rd epic, and it would have been his 14th!

This amazing item drops of High Priestess Mar'li. Mar'li is the fourth boss located in the Zul Gurrub Instance. Her aspect is that of the "spider" her area is found in just under that of Mandokir and is easily recognizable by the webbing that fills the area.

I got one of these the other night, it's very similar to the Essence Gatherer for priests, but I would rather not wait for more of those to drop.

Look harder at what the fingers are depicting and what is on the emblem.

Both the fingers and sign are the signs for Peace.

I just won this wand with my mage, it replaced a green named wand I had and is my first epic from ZG. After killing the spider boss the raid moved onto the raptor boss, turned out to be a very long fight, all my mana was gone and potion / mana gem used had to resort to wanding Mandokir with my shiny new Mar'li's Touch. Mandy went down too I love the damage on this wand =)
