From orgrimmar I flew to ashenvale, ran through felwood (Collecting the 2 flight paths), and went to moonglade and grabbed the flight path hidden by the cave exit. Afterwards I ran through the cave of death again to winterspring for that flight path as well.

Another nifty trick to get into Moonglade before level ~50 is to wait for or be around during the Lunar Festival. There are free ports to Moonglade during the festivities, though that only happens one week out of the entire year and cannot be relied upon.

If you aren't a druid, go to darkshore and swim until you technically zone into Moonglade while north of it in the ocean. Then drown yourself and you will release at the Moonglade spirit healer.

By the time you need this particular item you should be able to take on the Timbermaw. If you're watching your rep then you should be able to tank their hits until they drop aggro and run back.

Also, this is a good item to check for whenever you are in Moonglade, be it for druid quests or holiday events or whatever, it sells decently on most of the servers I have played on.

Sat and camped for approximately 10-15 minutes and the Runed Arcanite spawned.

Approximately 5 minutes after that, the Cloak - Superior Defence spawned.

u can only get this pattern from her... and its needed for most of your 290+ enchanting, untill u need feliron rod

First off all, you need to be lvl 35 to learn 300 enchanting.
Second, the ITEM lvl is 58. That doesn't mean you have to be lvl 58. You can learn this at lvl 35 even though the item lvl is 58.
And you can't bypass this rod even in outlands, so you need to use some cash to pass 300 enchanting :-)

I lvled enchanting to 340 with just truesilver rod. Just now getting around to making this one.

Like the person said above. You can not bypass a rod for the simple fact that you must have the previous rod to make the new one. It's just that the new rod (highest of your RODS) will replace your older or lower rods. So there is no reason to keep the old ones....:-)

It's a limited quanty vendor item, so if she doesn't have any, someone else has bought it. Just wait a few minutes.

The easiest way to get to Moonglade is during the seasonal event (starting late Feb) when you can get teleported there, whereupon you can get the flight point.

it's easy to get to moonglade especially if you take the little time it takes to get just unfriendly with Timbermaw...you just go thru the timbermaw cave and turn north at the midpoint...if you get to unfriendly status they will not attack you when you pass thru

Correction: The recipe is NOT BoP, the rod itself is. I just had my druid go pick up a recipe for me and have also seen them sold on AH.

Bad thing about this recipe is that people often buy it and then drop it in the AH for 10g+, So if you have an enchanter, i suggest buying this once when possible, cause it might not be there when you need it.

If you don't like waiting you can set your Cenarion Circle faction to "At War" and kill the vendor. She's a 51 non elite and dies pretty fast. You might have to deal with lvl65 non elite guard, but they don't hit very hard. When you kill the vendor your rep will decrease by 25! NPC respawned in about 8min for me and I got the formula. Hope that helps.

if you were around for the lunar festival then you probably have a flightpath to moonglade too.

it's worth noting that if she doesnt have the recipe, like she didnt when i first got there, prolly someone else just bought it and it needs to regenerate. I waited about 10-15 mins trying to figure out where i had mad a wrong turn then checked again and she had the recipe.

ZOMG im mad at who the first person that said kill her and it'll regenerate.. cuase it didn't work for me.. it's just a coincidence that it respawned after that time limit, not cuase u killed her.. now i lost 150 rep and still no recipe.. ty...

All you need to get this recipe is a level 10 druid, as that's when druids get a spell that transports them to moonglade. Leveling to 10 is probably quicker than grinding timbermaw rep, especially if you're in a rush. :DD

I talked to her and she didn't have the formula, waited 5 minutes and there it was... don't know if I was lucky or the respawn time is just fast.

Us enchanters are paying insane amounts on our server to go from 250 to 300, I spent almots 500g, and still have to get this rod now. The essence alone is going for 20 each. The shards will be another 100g, and the rods will be another 25-50g. At least my Blacksmith can make the rods though.

By god, dont kill her just be patient. When I first got there she didn't have any recipes, I waited about 5 minutes and got enchant cloak superior defense.waited another 2 minutes and got the runed arcanite rod formula. Just have patience.

Horde can indeed go into Moonglade. Everyone there is on Cenarion Circle faction.

just have a druid friend use their teleport: moonglade spell....or just make one. they get it at lvl 10 for the bear form quest. im lazy...so this seems to be much much easier than runnin forever to me :D

I just teleported in there being a druid. it is the easiest way.
Wasn't there someone must of got there just before me.
So i had to wait around for 20 mins as everything that is limited supply re spawns ever o'clock and half past server time.

Looks like most 300 Enchants use it, like +9 damage and +9 INT to 2 handers.

This recipe is bind on pickup from the vendor, so you can't get around the Timbermaw rep problem by sending a toon to buy it for your enchanter. Luckily, all your enchanter needs to do is one quest (enough to get to "unfriendly" reputation) before the Timbermaw will let you through their tunnel from Felwood to Moonglade.

You only ever need to carry one rod around with you. Each successive rod takes the place of the one that came before it and can do all lower level enchants

e.g. runed silver rod can do all lower level enchants so no need to keep a runed copper rod.

I don't know if it's just since Wrath of the Lich King came out or not but the same lady doesn't sell the recipe. She only sells supplies so now I have no idea where to get it.

So is there any use for a Runed Arcanite Rod at this point in the game? Any enchants require it?

NVM looked again, and must have somehow missed that things like Lifestealing, Crusader and the like take it.

This item respawns on the vendor every 15-20 minutes.

Someone bought it right from under me at the vendor. I stayed and checked every 60 sec. Took 30 min for it to respawn for me.
