after t9 i think blizz tried to make this set as good as an apology cookie. First off, it looks awesome, and second off, it has an amazing proc. this patch seems like it's going to be amazing for locks!

Edit: amazing except for a few spell changes

I like it, apart from that pointy thing on the hat :@

But hey, it was better than t9 (groo)

These set bonuses seem relatively godlike.

I mean, paladins get 1% extra healing during Divine Illumination, and DKs get 3% extra damage.

Hopefully, there's been typos or the bonuses are still under review.

You can watch the 10man stats here at MMO-Champion. Placeholder stats or not, I'm not very intrested seeing zero spirit on the tier all of sudden, where is it? It use to scale pretty well with buffs. Maybe this is the beginning of, yet another, gear itemization change in cataclysm for warlocks and mages.

Anyway.. In short, the stats for 10man versions look like this:
------------(T10 vs T9)
Stamina 489 --- 412
Intellect 489 --- 412
Spirit 0 --- 188
Hit rating 143 --- 124
Spellpower 670 --- 549
Crit rating 422 --- 272
Haste 223 --- 64

Note that you get about +56 spellpower from spirit in T9 from Fel Armor, additional 37 sp if glyphed life tap making T9 having 642 sp if you have glyph and fel armor active "all" of the time.
Adding to this possible spirit buff from priest (80 spirit), it adds 24 spellpower. So in the end T10 with priest buff gives 694 sp while T9 with priest buff gives ... 666
so yeah it scales pretty well..

I was particularly pleased with the upgrade path - you need the prerequisites to upgrade to the next tier. This is so much better than getting 264 gear and skipping 251, which basically allows amazing gear with half the effort.

The 4-piece bonus buff is called: Devious Minds, spell ID 70840.

I thought the clan wore white robes.....

edit: We obviously have some very sensitive Warlocks, aka masters of Shadow and doom, on the interwebz.

Cost to obtain the different items.

Hands-Shoulders = 60 Emblem of Frost each= 120 EoF total
Robe-Pants-Head= 95 Emblem of Frost each= 285 EoF total

Grand total = 405 EoF

Assuming you dont ever do Icecrown raid 10 or 25 and only do weekly raid quest (5 Eof) and daily random (2 EoF) you will net 19 EoF per week.

405/19 = aprox 22 weeks to get full set

Good luck farming

Does anyone know which belt is being used to complete the Dark Coven look? The only 2 boss drop belt graphics i can find are mage and priest graphic belts. So where is this killer looking skull head belt buckle belt? Anyone have a link to it?

Note that you get about +56 spellpower from spirit in T9 from Fel Armor, additional 37 sp if glyphed life tap making T9 having 642 sp if you have glyph and fel armor active "all" of the time.

You're forgetting that demo and destro locks (majority of the warlock population) have Demonic Aegis, meaning that they will get 73 SP from the spirit on T9, 17 more than you posted.

Also, no need to make note of the priest's spirit buff. That has no relevance to what you were discussing since it's not based on a percenatage, such as Blessing of kings.

When I am called to raid with my new helm..

Guildie:I summon the Dark Magician!

I wonder if the 4-piece bonues will make it worth casting Immolate for Affliction locks. It's only a 1.5 sec cast that does good damage and effectively doubles your proc chance, asssuming there is no CD. (Any news on CD?)

any1 know whats the internal cooldown of the 4set item bonus?

Commento di Patty

This looks epic.

Why can't my Priest look like a Death Eater when I choose to melt faces?

If you only have access to 10-person raids, and you have hit rating to spare, skipping the T10 gloves in favor of the Gloves of False Gestures, and picking up the 4-piece T10 bonus with the chestpiece will be better for your dps.

The alternative, of course is taking the T10 gloves and getting Meteor Chaser's Raiment.

Here's the comparison:
Gloves: https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/compare=50983;50240
Chest: https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/compare=50974;50243

Taking the ilevel 264 gloves instead of the chestpiece over the T10 equivalents nets:
-3 Int
-7 SP
-63 Hit
+21 Crit
+36 Haste

If you have plenty of hit to spare, you'll be giving up a modicum of spell power for a good deal of crit and haste.

Got 4p bonus today. I can confirm that there is no internal cooldown on this proc! I threw immolate on 6 training dummies and the procc refreshed 3 times in one second. This has a pretty decent uptime, even on single target, but putting immolate on adds will be a winner even if it only has time to tick 1-2 times.

Does anyone know which regalia set is purple/blue/green/red ?

Commento di skyshadow

I found out:

Basic = blue
Sanctified = green
Heroic Sanctified = red

One thing I've always noticed...
Why is it checkerd?
Sort of reminds me of Green Hill Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog...

Commento di 476703

I just watched Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire and the first thing i thought of when it showed the Death Eaters is "Was Blizz watching this when they made the freaking warlock Tier 10 armor?"
