Dissapointing achievement points for 5 exalted reputations, considering the individual achievements give 10 points themselves.

This shouldn't be too hard, most raiders already have all 5 factions filled out during their heroic key grinds and to get their Shatt flasks.

It used to be Revered for the Heroic key, plus you would run heroics like Mechanar, Slave Pens and Shadow Labyrinth with a good group every other day, in order to get Badges of Justice and buy pretty good epics. That's before every Raid boss started dropping 1-2 of those.
I think that's what elilla had in mind: people who've raided back in 2007.

This would be correct.

People who think this is untrue should take a sampling via the armory, the vast majority of people are either close to revered or revered with almost all of the core factions unless they're rerolls or simply don't care. My mage was revered with all of the factions within the first two months of TBC, and I'm in a 'non-hardcore' raiding guild. I simply ran instances a lot, with a lot of friends and a lot of people for a lot of gear that was required at the time to 'catch-up',

I am currently working on this achievement and these are the conclusions I got:

Honor Hold: not difficult to farm as there are 3 instances that give you rep with them, you need, however, to acquire the Shattered Halls Key in order to be able to enter the Shattered Halls. If you have done enough quests in Hellfire Peninsula you should have no problem purchasing the key to enable heroic mode on Hellfire Citadel dungeons by the time you start farming rep.

The Sha'tar: also has 3 instances available for reputation farming, and again one of them requires a key in order to be accessible. Such a key requires you to complete this chain quest started by this NPC in order to be obtained. By then you should already be honored or close with the Sha'tar and able to buy your key to enable heroic modes.

Cenarion Expedition: again 3 instances available to be farmed, the difference is that the naga on them may drop this which can be turned in for reputation, making the farming quite faster than the others. Until you reach honored you may quest in the area and turn in these for reputation.

Lower City: guess what, you also have 3 instances to farm, nice huh? Well, you can gather the reputation to purchase this key by either questing in the wastes of Terokkar Forest or farming the non-heroic modes of the instances there (excluding Mana-Tombs). Personally, I reached exalted while farming this. If you are also after it, and don't expect it to drop any time soon, you could simply farm the instance and gather the reputation during your farm.

Keepers of Time: by far the slowest grinding of all 5 as there are only 2 instances to be farmed and the reputation for a full clear isn't that great. My suggestion is that you keep yourself busy questing for this (started by him at the entrance to Karazhan). Why? Simply because I assume if ou are going after a completionist's achievement (yes it is) I believe you would also care about Karazhan's key. In fact, you must complete this chain quest in order to enable the other instance you'll be farming so why not go on and do the quest for the key anyway?

There are several quests in Blade's Edge Mountains that also award Cenarion Expedition reputation, even though it is, imo, the easiest reputation to farm for the achievement, if you are also after the Loremaster, questing there can save you a few runs through Serpentshrine instances.
