Easiest way is to have a DK with Anti magic Zone. Have the DK spawn it at a place near the boss and all other players should stand in that Zone.

The sentries do quite alot of Dmg so the boss needs to die fast. They do Shadow dmg so a Priest is pretty usefull here.

The Shroud of Darkness that he casts on himself is dispellable (i.e. via Purge) allowing for near-uninterrupted DPS on the boss. We had prot warr, fury warr, enha shammy, ele shammy, and a holy pally and our only problem was a careless Whirlwind >.<

Gear level was mostly L80 instance/heroic blues with a handful of heroic epics scattered throughout the whole party, so should be reasonable at most gear levels, assuming the healer can keep up.

Easy mode for this achievement as a holy priest:

-Find a group with only melee, including a ret paladin (Replenishment) and an enhancement shaman (Bloodlust). Warrior or rogue would work nicely to fill the other slot. Caster dps gets a lot of pushback on this fight, so they're not optimal. Any tanking class will do, though a paladin with concentration aura would be handy.
-Put shadow protection up.
-Spam prayer of healing the entire fight with prayer of mending between.

There's no way your group can fail at this achievement with this strategy.

Actually, it can be done with any combination of Tank/Healer/3DPS if nobody dies during the encounter; Just make sure you start nuking him as soon as he aggro. (i.e. You can't wait for tank's threat)

Also, his Shroud of Darkness can be dispelled and purged if you're having trouble healing this.

...One of the most exciting dps-race encounters in WoTLK 5-man.

PS: Nobody has pointed out the obvious yet... "A Void Dance" = "Avoidance".

The first time we did this on Heroic, we had no idea how to kill the sentries, so we just beat the crap out of him.

When the achievement popped up, there was silence... followed by "We could have killed those things? %$#@!"

Our group attempted this last night, but for whatever reason, never received the achievement.

No sentries died, nor were any attacked at any stage and neither did anyone die during the fight, not sure what happened.

A fun dps/survival achievement. The hard thing is a wipe sometimes cost you too much (starting all over the event *!@#es off people if it is the second boss especially) and you cannot guarantee to encounter him whenever you enter the instance. For even only those reasons, this achievement grow high in importance amongst some others. About the combat, things will be going easier if you bring a holy priest along for shadow protection and holy nova (both for healing and damaging, of course not when in void shift). Let him use the nova after %50 of boss health and spare him a mana pot for caution... pop your best cooldowns and you all will be ok.. gl

After using a defence crystal in an attempt to kill the void sentries I still recieved this achievement. I am sure the crystal was activated (purple lasers and all) and that sentries were active at that time. Either defence crystals don't kill the sentries (I did not check my log and we recieved plenty of damage, only two ghoulform players up during bosskill), or killing them with the crystals does not invalidate this achievement.

I found that Warlocks felhunter with the dispel on autocast trivialises this achievement.

I think the easist way to get this achievement is to have a good group.

All we did is just nuke boss down very easy!

Is this repeatable? I know the water elemental achieve is not, because hes replaced by a lesser elemental if you kill him and restart.

Ez achievement, but I just can't get that Void boss in VH, last thing what left to me for Glory of the Hero! :/

To get this achievement you only need to do single target DPS. its easy.

Start on this achievement early if you're going for the proto-drake. It seems like an easy one, because the fight is straightforward and VH is cake, but never underestimate the power of RNG. You will inevitably get umpteen heroic Cyanigosa kills without seeing Zuramat if you leave it for last.

Not that I'm bitter or anything...
