Key to this achievment is to wait till the boss will cast Eck Residue on the whole group. So just watch your dps on that one !

There is an extra gorloc (mutant murloc mob) boss that is available in heroic mode called Eck the Ferocious.

You have to get the debuff Eck Residue from him during the combat then proceed to defeat Gal'darah in order to get this achievement. The debuff does nothing apparently and lasts for 1 hour.

If you die, the debuff is removed. Don't die.

Eck Residue is acquired from the zone's optional Heroic boss, Eck the Ferocious. In order to get the Residue debuff, you need to be hit by Eck's frontal cone ability: Eck Spit.

Eck Residue itself lasts for an hour, so once you're affected by the debuff the only additional requirement for this achievement is that you not die before killing Gal'darah.

So rogues, don't use Cloak of Shadows once you have this debuff, it removes it.

Gal'darah is currently melee'ing the targets he impales. The melee will hit for about 9k non-crit/crush on 21k armor, and our mage was instantly one-shotted.

It should be noted that getting the Eck Residue is harder than it sounds. The boss doesn't seem to have a steady aggro table (aggro wipes periodically like the trash before him, perhaps?) so positioning him so that everyone can get the residue from his frontal cone shaped breath can be difficult.

I know this can be removed by immunity spells and abilities, but can this be CLEANSED? I went to gundrak, got the eck residue and downed Gal'drah without anyone dieing. I was the only one in the group who didnt get the achievment because i somehow lost the debuff during the fight and im very sure i didnt CloS it.

got that spit on me and when fighting Gal'darah he impaled me so as a reflex used ICEBLOCK :( removed it. old habits die hard .

Unfortunately, it's also easily resisted with even the minutest amount of nature resistance. Remove resistance before the fight if you can.

Instead of killing Eck right when you get to him kill all the trash and bosses (depending on which door you go in). Once you have killed all the trash and are ready to pull boss go back and kill Eck get the buff then kill Gal'darah.

If you wipe on him then there is always next time.

Can the effect be absorbed by having enough Nature Resistance? I have tried to get this on numeral occasions, but never got it. I didn't use Ice Block and it didn't get removed by any means, I just didn't get the debuff, although on my last try, we took it so slow he spitted about 4-5 times and I stood in it every single time.

I have to admit I ran with an arcane mage with 80 Nature Resistance w/o the Gift of the Wild buff, which brought my total resistance to 137. I removed the druid buff, but even then it seemed that 80 resistance is still too high to get the debuff to stick.

Can anyone else confirm this to be correct, or is there and other explanation?

how to:

Wery wery simple. on the heroic only boss, all stay infront of him, and he will spray the debuff over you. make sure all have it, and kill it, then kill last boss and complete. wery wery simple!

but: if your group is not that good, clear all the trash between the 2 bosses to keep it safe!
also remember anytype of bubble/iceblock etc will remove debuff. you dont what that to happen ;)

Just Tried this Achievement AGAIN today, I usually die to Gal'darah.

This time, something quite unusual happened. He started to cast his Eck Spit like usual, then when it was meant to be cast, he kind of exploded instead, and nobody got spat on. This happened all 3 times he tried to Spit on us. Can anybody tell me why this happened?

If you need the achievement, get yourself spat on quickly - if you try to draw out the fight past 1-2 minutes he'll enrage and eat you.

Step 1 : Kill the third boss (one who turns into mammoth
Step 2 : Turn around and run under the little cave tunnel.
Step 3 : Kill the trash and target the boss
Step 4 : Tank/Spank Boss, general rule of thumb everyone stand on the tank, so the boss is facing the group, he'll use acid spit, and you'll get a 3 second debuff, that is a poison so don't dispell it. After three seconds it will turn into a 60 min debuff.
Step 5: Kill the last boss!

Easy :3.

NO:
Iceblock/Bubble/Death - These effects remove the debuff.

Ya I Iceblocked on the last boss cuz I was impaled...and totally deleted my buff lol. I wrote a guide for this achievement in case it can help some peeps:
