From the looks of the achievement, Only 1 of each food needs to be cooked to satisfy the achievement not a stack.

Therefore it would be recommended to collect 1 of each of the foods listed above in there uncooked form so that all you need to do once the expansion is live is to cook them all and compelte the achievement.

EDIT: Assuming you have all the above stated recipes.

Whilst doing the cooking quests for the recipes you'll find that the crates of meat and the barrels of fish provide some of the foods in there uncooked form anyways making it easier to stockpile them all for the expansion.

This achievement requires you to have both the Delicious Chocolate Cake recipe AND the Stormchops recipe, both rare drops from the cooking quest. Getting these two recipes will probably be the limiting factor to anyone wanting to get this achievement.

I began to notice that all food in this section of burning crusade cooking were not counting towards the achievement. When I used my own fire, it did not give credit. When I used the Shattrath cooking pot, it gave credit. Post other fire locations that do/don't apply to this achievement.

I'm very disappointed that they expect us to have all of the rare recipes from the cooking daily. You have to get lucky to get a recipe, and then you have to do that 6 times. Especially bad for people who are in Northrend now and are having to do the old daily every day in addition to leveling and Northrend dailies. If nothing else they should add an updated way to obtain them, like they did with the Delicious Chocolate Cake.

The Delicious Chocolate Cake recipe just dropped for me from the Dalaran Cooking Dailies.I guess this gives you more opportunity to complete this and the related achievements.

What to do if I vendored a quest reward recipe before learning it? Do I have no chance of ever completing this achievement and getting the Chef title?

As a DK i had to get these recipes from scratch so it has been a bit of a pain. The first week of doing the dailies i received 3 of the green recipes right away and the next week i got stormchops, the chocolate cake and captain rumsey's recipe.

The reason however of me posting this is because i have been trying to get the kibler's bits recipe for about 3+ weeks now and i do the daily everyday. I just can't seem to find it. I hate doing achievements that are entirely based on luck instead of the work you put into it. I wish the outland dailies were more like the ones in dalaran which are fun and you earn cooking awards to purchase recipes.

I seem to get the mana berries daily everyday :P. I really hate going to outland but i guess put up with it if you want the chef title.

Finished today, 1/21/09. I had to go back and do the daily cooking quests from the Rokk in Shattrath to get the "rare" recipes.

It appears the drop rate has been greatly increased, I was able to get 5 of them in 8 days.

Also, make sure to note the loot tables of the barrel of fish and crate of meat, as they do not drop all the recipes. For example, skullfish is only in the barrel.

Sadly, the increased drop rate is not entirely true. I've been trying to get last 3 recipes from the daily for past month, every day, and yet got only 1 drop. That's pretty much what holding me from the title, and I'm pretty disappointed with the drop rate.

Update: apparently there's a chance that you can get some of these recipes from the Northrend cooking daily, as I just got Stormchops recipe on one of my alts.

I can also confirm that at least two of the rare recipe drops can be obtained from the much easier/convenient Dalaran cooking dailies. I just got Stormchops the other day, and I received the chocolate cake recipe a little while ago, also.

I've been doing the shatt cooking dailies for months and yet I still dont have the Stormchops. Im begining to think it doesnt exist... : /

Edit: Oh and not to forget I've been doing the dalaran cooking dailies since they came out..

I just spent quite a few days going after the broiled bloodfin recipe (the last one I had to cook to get this and the meta cooking achievement), only to realize I must have had the recipe back before I really started working on this achievement. The only reason I even figured it out was by purchasing the bloodfin from AH to have it ready when I got the recipe, and then seeing the recipe on my list while I had the "Have Materials" box checked.

So make sure you actually cook each recipe shortly after you get it, or at least double check whether or not you have a certain recipe in your list before you spend countless days trying to go after that "last recipe".

Ok I'm at my wits end here, I have been doing the daily cooking quest in Shatt since before WOLTK. Yes I'm serious literally everyday, before I goto work in the morning I log on long enough to do that quest. As of yet I do not have Broiled Bloodfin OR Skullfish Soup. The only 2 recipes I need for 3 achievements. I have ticketed a GM and sent email to Blizz with a serious QQ thinking Im glitched or something. All I get back is you guessed it "It's working as intended" Any suggestions would be greatly apprieciated.

Without a doubt this is the most infuriating achievement in the game for me right now as I only need two of the recipes (Broiled Bloodfin & Stormchops) to attain my "Chef" title. I've diligently completely every other achievement with minimal effort over the course of a month and it does irk me how Blizzard could build such a random setback into a player's efforts to max out their Cooking skills.

I did the Shattrath Cooking daily fairly regularly back in the day when I was lvl 70 and in the past month I've gone back to repeat it each day only to be rewarded with some useless fish and a "broken fishing net" time and again. I'm thinking of stopping out of principle but I do really want that title.

Sort it out in an upcoming patch please Blizz. If necessary, make the recipes buyable for 20 Dalaran Cooking Tokens each if you really need to make us feel like we've "earned" them. I could technically never see them drop after investing loads of time and it's just all a bit of a pi55take.
