I don't think that they should have added this achievement toward getting the title for children's week as half the players doing these events especially the higher level achievements are not high enough level to complete these events and cannot claim the title that comes with completing the events.

Just to let you know, this quest CAN be done with both regular and Shattrath orphan.

Just finished the achievement with blood elf orphan out.

hmm ..if u have done both quests chain in org and shat ..can u still get your kid back? ..cuz i sorta did both and got both pet..but cant seem to get the whistle..as im standing infront of up waiting to see ..>.<

My orphan despawned during the fight for some reason. Be sure to check if your orphan is still there when he nears death.

If you have any sort of JC trinket, DO NOT USE IT DURING THE FIGHT. The JC trinkets all summon a small non-combat pet which will replace your orphan.

I'm hoping you can do this even after the Children's Week event is over, as long as you can have your orphan out, of course. I'm planning to grab a new whistle near the end of the event to give my self another 7 days if needed.

That is an easy achievment. You only need to do that : when you are going to the last boss, call your orphan with the whistle. You don't need to have it out when you are on the 1st bosses.
