Seems it could fail and do nothing when trying to use it on the mammoths, who happen to be located just around the camp. They are neutral mobs so it shouldn't be too hard to do this quest. Just run it back and press the 1 button to return it to Zootfizzle.

Remember that only the neutral mammots can be harnessed....

anyone else having issues with "handing over" the mammoth once you get back to the camp?

*edit* got it figured out.....need to stand by the campfire to "hand over"

I'm having troubles handing it in... Doesn't matter where I stand won't let me hand in.

Update: Had to go capture a different one, took me 3 different mammoth's for him to accept it..

Try to find one that is a your level or the highest level you can find. Worked for me.

If you have problems handing in the mammoth, spam click number 1 until it hands in.

It wasn't allowing me to deliver the mammoth. I walked about 40 yards away from the camp and pressed 1, and I got credit for delivering it.... so... whatever.

The funniest thing happens when you have a vanity pet... i follows you without walking it sort of spasms with you all the way i used a Silver Tabby with me when i did it and it was hilarious. The one i had was sideways so it was even better

I think to have find the problem with this quest:
Addons, after i disabled all the addons, i was able to complete the quest.

Dunno exactly what is the specific addons in question, so i disalbed all. for make the quest.
This is the 2nd time, i have to do this operation for complete quest, it can happend with quest wen u have to control somthing. like this time with the mammut.

I tried standing by the campfire, disabling all of my addons, trying different mammoths. What worked for me was standing there and repeatedly pressing 1 as fast as I could, and it finally turned it in. Hope this helps someone else!

The add on "recount" will cause this quest not to work. Recount actually bugs a few quests in WoW.

Before you go off challenging Broodmother Slivina, Dorian thought it might be a good idea for you and Hemet to coordinate your efforts by riding into battle on the back of a mammoth.

The area around the camp is full of them. Just take this bridle and skip it over the head of a shattertusk mammoth. Be careful of the bulls, though. They won't tolerate the harness at all. Bring the mammoth back here when you've found a suitable one.
