This boss is added in Karazhan during the pre-WotLK event! He can be located in the kitchen of Karazhan, above Attumen the Huntsman as an optional boss. He can use this, according to http://www.wowwiki.com/Tenris_Mirkblood:

* Basic Melee - Deals ~700 damage to a t4 tank. This can be healed through with a simple Renew.
* Soul Copy - The player affected by this takes equal damage Tenris takes. Lasts for around a minute. Hunters can feign, Rogues can vanish, Mages can ice block, and paladins can bubble in order to get out of this.
* Sanguine Spirit - When they mature they deal ~6000 Shadow Damage. These are cast quite frequently. Make sure everyone stays away from them.

Unfortunately, he will be around for only 10 days, according to a post by Tigole: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=11829576572&pageNo=1&sid=1#13

Commentaire de Rozenberg

The easiest way to kill him:
Let your tank grab him and go all around the stables from one room to another ( he sets bombs, so this way you can avoid them easily)
When the red soul link appears between the boss and one of raiders, damage received by boss is sheared with one member of the raid. You should lower your damage or just heal the linked target fast
Killed today with arms pvp warrior as tank, holy pally as healer, destro lock and me(t6 beastmaster hunter)
piece of cake

This boss is easily defeatable with a small group of relatively low gear level, if care is taken.
The key is sustaining dps and healing for the 4-5 minutes it takes with blue-level gear.

Commentaire de Uoyredrum

He drops the Arcanite Ripper and a vampire bat pet (which is lootable by the entire raid).

Commentaire de ArgentSun

As mentioned before:

Melee Hits: ~2000 on Ret Paladin, ~1200-1500 on Prot Paladin.
Blood Mirror - a ray of blood (looks like a red beam) that links the prince and a random member of the raid. Any damage will be shared between the two targets, so everybody needs to stop DPS and the healers must heal the mirrored target if the DPS is not listening.
Summon Sanguine Spirit - every few seconds Tenris will summon between one and three Sanguine Spirits, which work like the Mushrooms in the first boss in Underbog, except that they will move. After standing for a few seconds at their spawn point, they will start moving slowly towards the raid, much like the Fire Elementals of Nethermancer Serethrea. If they get close to a player, they will hit for anywhere between 3k and 7k damage.

To kill the boss, you need to pay attention to both spells: Keep kiting him around in circle, and make sure nobody is stepping close to the Spirits. While doing that, make sure you don't DPS the boss when he's linked, unless your healers are really good at keeping several targets up.

Note: Our feral druid mentioned that he is not taking when damage when he is the mirrored target, and he is the only one attacking. It's not confirmed information.

Commentaire de MorphedChaos

Ok, this boss is easily 5 manned.

-He hits for about 1500s on a T4 warrior tank without being blocked.
-He links with other people, This is alright if you brought 2 healers, have one healer heal the linked guy, one the tank, DPS the boss
-He summons orbs, Kite him around the ring so you don't get hit by them. Simple, otherwise they do 7K

I think he heals the linked person when he spawns an orb, but I'm not 100% sure, I'll check on tuesday

Thats all he does, and at 50% he summons 20 orbs, so watch out. And good luck with the ripper!

Rock out!

Commentaire de 209005

He is upstairs from Attuneman and behind a Blood Drenched Door. And after a bit of time passed from killing him the door becomes locked and noone can go in to get it.

Commentaire de Kciroj

You cannot get people together in the same instance if they are already saved to different IDs. You can, however, have unsaved members enter a saved instance. Just be careful with that, as some people might not appreciate you locking them out from the rest of Kz for a week.
It is also possible that someone who is saved to the same Kz arranges a similar raid before you do. If they kill Tenris, he will no longer be available to anyone who is saved to that ID.

Edit: The above was correct for the raid lockout system that was in place when Tenris Mirkblood was in the game, which was also when Kz was still endgame content. With Patch 4.0.1 this was changed to a more flexible system where boss kills are tracked individually for each player. You can now join any raid in progress, but only if you have not killed any of the bosses that are available to the raid leader. This has solved the above problems almost entirely, as you are no longer saved instantly upon entering a raid in progress and groups are now allowed to 'split' after clearing part of a raid instance, allowing each member to clear the rest of the instance at another time and with other people.

the spirits drain mana 2 so keep ur healers away

Commentaire de Carnak

Ok, i have a Problem.. Im Saved to karazhan (Fully Cleared it Except Tenris).. Well, made a raid group and went inside to Tenris.. But, Surprise, The Door is "Locked" Blood drenched door that is.. and we cant even picklock it anyhow.. Any Tips?

Commentaire de Friction

The quest can be easily 2 manned as long as 1 of you has a sufficient raid ID, but if you want to kill him, you'll need more people.

Player 1 must open the door and immediately run off, dragging the boss away, while player 2 runs into the room and gets the required item. After that, the players can switch rolls.

Commentaire de Colamisu

So, is Tenris tied to Attumen? As in, if someone has a cleared Karazhan instance from before they implemented him, will he be there/accessible? Or can you do a normal full clear, wait 30 minutes for the soft reset, then run in and kill him?

Commentaire de 9762

I can proudly say my friends and I just 3 manned this boss, ret pally, spriest, frost mage. Second try. First one was using info about his abilities. Second one we killed him after seeing the abilities first hand =).

Commentaire de 93865

Studied the boss carefully from combat logs:

Sanguine Spirits:

These orbs do not melee, and they are immune to damage. They do only one thing:

Exsanguinate - Melee range ability. Damages target for 66% of HP or 2000, whichever is greater.

Prince Tenris Mirkblood:

Basic melee.
Blood Mirror - Damage taken by Tenris is split with player. Tenris takes on the appearance of the chosen player's race and gender.
He also has a self-heal ability whose name I forget. (will update later)

Strategy:

Everyone must avoid the orbs or they will die very quickly. Stay out of melee range of them; the tank must kite Tenris around to avoid them. Kiting the boss often involves moving him very far, because the spirits spawn quickly and in large numbers. A popular strategy is to kite or Misdirect Tenris to Moroes' room or the adjacent Ballroom.

The target of the Blood Mirror must be healed through the likely very significant damage he will sustain. Pain Suppression, Hand of Sacrifice, Vigilance and similar abilities work well here.

Tenris will heal himself significantly. Mortal Strike, Aimed Shot and similar abilities should be kept up on the boss at all times.

It is, of course, possible to burn the boss down with high DPS and geared tanks and healers, given the gear levels of most players relative to the content.

Commentaire de Revived

Yay the Arcanite Reaper is mine!

Commentaire de 117728

Tried duo'ing him with feral druid and holy pala, mana and healing was no problem, but every time he hit 40% HP he got healed up to 45%

We tried for 5-10 mins, but it kept happening so we gave up.

Edit:
Tried again today. The heal seems to be on a cooldown and only active below 40%, but sometimes it's quite random.

The theory about the spirits healing him was not true for us, he healed even without the spirits, but he seems to heal less the more he is moving, but i'm not sure.

Commentaire de 178863

I want to know something, the non-combat pet, the batling, does it drop every time? and every raid member gets one or do we have to roll on it? Hopping to go there soon to see for myself, but until then an answer would be great.

Commentaire de 169861

i tanked him on my feral druid, i just had raid wait on the first table as u enter moroes room. i pulled him into moroes room, with a resto druid healing me just incase. then had every1 stay on the table and just kited him in 2 circles around the 2 little tables on either side of moroes platform. worked really well, the orbs do move so eventually some of the dps had to move just a lil, but they stood and burned for most of the fight.

Commentaire de 45143

He drops his entire loot table everytime he's killed. Which means one axe, 2 badges for everyone, and a bat pet for everyone.

Commentaire de Suzaku

Important note:

Prince Tenris Mirkblood spawns in the room beyond the Blood Drenched Door. After the group completely leaves the instance, the door will become locked and cannot be reopened until the raid resets. This is presumably to prevent players from completing the related quest without actually killing the boss.

In order to complete the Chamber of Secrets quest, you must use the "Orders from the Lich King", a scroll setting on a table in his room. If you do not do so before everyone leaves the instance, you will become locked out of the room and will be unable to complete the quest.

Since he is only appearing for an extremely limited period of time, it is very important to complete the quest before leaving the instance, as you will likely only get two attempts to fight the boss before he is removed from the game, due to the length of Kara's reset timer.

Commentaire de 216037

So I messed up and didnt do the quest (thought it was to kill him, not look in his chambers) and now the door is locked. So is he going to be around on the 4th, or will the last day be the last day of this kara reset?

Commentaire de 113855

Don't be stupid like me and forget to complete the quest in his room after killing him! If you go back a day later like I did to complete the quest, the door will be locked and you'll be !@#$ed.

I so wanted my vampire slayer kit :(

Commentaire de Vonriel

Something interesting to note: He shares a model with several bosses and other NPCs you see in cutscenes in Northrend. I just wish I could remember all the names of the ones in the particular scene I'm thinking of.

Commentaire de 186461

As you get close to his door he says something about you along the lines of "Hmm (race) yummy"

Commentaire de 106177

3-manned Tenris on November 3rd.

Feral Druid
Resto Shaman
Warlock

Simple. It took awhile, but it is simple when you just watch your dps when the red beam is on someone, as the Feral Druid Tank it was a lock of back-pedalling involved... lol.

Commentaire de starsword

As of 11/04/08 with the release of patch 3.0.3 this boss has been removed.

Edit: He is no longer in Karazhan on the Proudmoore server anyway. This has been reported by multiple raid groups

Commentaire de 30269

Did him today at 4:30 pm server time. He's still in.

Commentaire de 123078

Anyone know how long he is supposed to be in Kara. I thought it was about 10 days but members of my guild ran last night and he was still there.

Quotes;
* I smell... <race>. Delicious!
* I shall consume you!
* Drink, mortals! Taste my blood! Taste your death!

A half undead, half elf creature, by the name of Tenris Mirkblood. He's a San'layn (Darkfallen) Prince, hiding in the Chamber of Secrets.

* I smell... Harry Potter reference... Delicious!

EDIT: OK. Just for those who don't get it. I'm talking about two Harry Potter books: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Yes, it IS a reference. Too obvious to miss or to not get it.

EDIT: II.

Lol. Even if people disagree with me, I've still got the quotes of the boss listed. I've provided useful information for users. So really: no_point_of_downrating. (Yes, pointless downrates DO annoy me this much)

Commentaire de 240946

Just wanted to point out, the red orbs DEFINITELY should be avoided by the tanks. They will do %based damage and hit my prot warrior for around 11-12k hp each time. Something you should watch out for.

Commentaire de 195997

He was still there as of Nov 7, 2008.

Commentaire de 230710

He's not that hard.. you can kinda zerg himm really.. a good healer can keep someoen up during the blood link.. I never let up on my DPS as a rogue and I didn't drop below 20% when i got linked

Commentaire de sirBattleCat

Just wanted to let you guys know that he's not there anymore. Checked just now. (European)

Commentaire de 206070

He definitely isn't in anymore, just went and tried to do him, wasn't there.

Commentaire de 62266

Apparently in patch 3.0.8 you will earn a Feat of Strength achievement, if you killed this guy during the pre-wrath event.

Vampire Hunter - Slew Prince Tenris Mirkblood and acquired his Vampiric Batling pet.

Commentaire de 288466

Tenris Mirkblood was one of the random names for a Blood Mage from WC3.

Commentaire de 395497

He reminds me quite a lot of Kael'Thas after you kill him. The one with the giant gem in his chest.

Commentaire de Nashiira

While I suspected that he wasn't up due to it being a WotLK pre-event, we had to test it out. Mirkblood is not up during the 2009 holiday.

Commentaire de durok

Tenris Mirkblood is one of the San'layn - also known as the Darkfallen - with leader Blood-Queen Lana'thel.
The San'layn are vampires, working for the Scourge.
More information ->> WoWWiki: San'Layn

Commentaire de 491948

Question is.. Why does this vamp have Bergrisst's guitar?

Commentaire de Mutre

This guy reminds me of Nevan from Devil May Cry 3.
She was a vampire, she was dark, she summons bats, AND she drops a guitar-axe too...
Nevan

Commentaire de 578161

where is he

Commentaire de Allakhazam

The Vampiric Batling always drops for each players in the raid so it is probably 100% but only once per player. Since the boss is inside Karazhan, naturally it is only for 68+ that can obtain the batling pet. An Arcanite Ripper also dropped but no one wanted so it was melted.

To get to the boss, after you down Midnight and Attumen, keep going through the room (instead of backtracking past ent to Moroes), up the stairs and beyond there is a closed door. The boss is right there so don't open until the raid is ready.

It is suggested at least 1 player head to EPl to Light's Hope Chapel and pick up "Chamber of Secret" quest first, then share it with the raid. The scroll for the quest is right behind the boss.

The batling counts toward the pet achievement so get em while you can. I suspect the boss and the batling would be available only until WotLK is released.

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Downed him with 5 people today. Resto shaman (me), Prot Paladin, Feral Druid, Shadow Priest and Rogue. Took a long time, about 3 circuits of the circular corridor from his room, and healer ran out of mana once(got an innervate from the Druid), but yeah, it's definitely doable with 5. Should be easy with 10. Just kite him around the big corridor that goes around the upper edge of Attumen's room. He's a level 73 Elite, so it's more like a heroic boss than a raid boss.

Commentaire de breaker581

They should bring this mob back for special events, like maybe Hallow's Eve or something.
