I'm sure I'm going to be voted down for this, but where the hell do Shamen get their armour sets? Is it drop or token only? Because it looks like the two badge types they have only have direct turn in for hunter mail? Can anyone clarify this or, I don't know, submit a change to the database to include the shaman armour?

you don't need the buff to loot these, they work the same as badges of justice, except that they don't drop of the 25 man instances.

I feel a bit left out as a tanking druid. The jewelry that's buyable with these contains defense rating (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=40679 and a ring I couldn't find on Wowhead right now), which is nowadays completely wasted stat on druids. That doesn't make the items bad; they just could be better for ferals (ie. more dodge instead of +def).
Also, we get no tanking Idol. Druids got 3 new idols that are buyable with these, but none of them help tanking in any way. Still stuck with my Idol of Terror, which sucks these days in all honesty.
Only items amazingly good are tier 7 armor (naturally) and this tanking trinket: https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=40683 - Moroe's Lucky Pocketwatch mk. 2!
There is this one belt: https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=40694 - but https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=37194 from heroic Utgarde Keep is very easy to obtain and is even better for tanking in some respects.

Well, at least tank druids will have more Emblems to waste on mounts/gems :)

Ok, so at this point I've gotten just about everything I can/want as a Tankadin from the emblems aside from the chest piece token that I'm currently saving for. By the end of next week, I should have that as well. :(

Has anyone heard of them coming out with a second level of these as they did with the Badge of Justices.

I'm more of a casual player and don't have a high end raiding guild that runs 25man raids so the Emblems of Valor will be a bit more difficult to obtain.

theres really too little items to be exchanged as of now. simply 3 heroics a day+daily can get you at least 10 of these babes. its not long before everyone has got a overwhelming of badges and nowhere to use :( blizz do sth!

Do note that Emblem-bought items can be disenchanted.

This is of particular interest given items such as Lillehoff's Winged Blades, which essentially lets an enchanter convert 15 Emblems into 1 Abyss Crystal.

A shrewd enchanter can use this to his advantage: Emblems converted into Crystals can be used to either make high-end enchants, or simply be sold on the AH for profit.

If you're going for the latter route, remember that with patch 3.0.8, you can buy uncut rare gems for 10 Emblems each - for the Emblem:Crystal conversion to be profitable, an Abyss Crystal would have to be worth 1.5 times the cost of the most expensive rare gem.

Otherwise, it would make much more sense to buy the rare gem and sell that instead.

Because like in BC new badge of justice items came out with the release of Sunwell... I wanna know if theres a point in collecting more emblems even when there's nothing for you to buy except the heirloom items.

We probably won't get a straight answer on that, but I would certainly think so. They've generally paced it so that the best gear you can buy (with tokens, honor, or whatever) is slightly weaker than the items dropped by the toughest bosses, but strong enough that a skilled group of players wearing the purchased gear could begin progressing toward those same bosses.

In other words, the gear available to buy with Emblems of Heroism should keep pace with the demands of future 10-person raids as they become available (I'd expect the new gear to cost considerably more than the existing gear, to ensure that people gradually progress up the instance/raid ladder, rather than jumping to the top). To keep crafting professions competitive, we'll probably see new recipes/patterns/schematics with each major patch as well.

They had ought to let you obtain one of these for four Stone Keeper's Shards. That way, when you do a heroic with Essence of Wintergrasp, you can get double the Emblems. It seems unfair to those who don't enjoy PvP.

To exchange a higher badge to get a lower badge on a 1:1 ratio is 100% wrong, Blizzard shouldn't even let us be able to do that -haven't ever exchanged a badge-

What Blizzard needs to implement is, to be able to exchange lower badges for higher badges in whatever ratio Blizzard see ok, example 100:1,50:1,40:1,20:1,10:1,5:1,4:1

Yes, it is a possibility that something new will come up for EoHs but still, breifly skimming the new items page there ain't many items fitting to be traded for them.

Why should people be able to take lower-level currencies and turn them into higher-level ones? People who only do 5 and 10 mans shouldn't have access to 25 man content. It's only logical that, if some person is able to get ilvl 213 gear, they should be able to buy ilvl 200 gear. Not the other way around.

Yes because retards in blues and greens never get carried on a 25 man. Ever. If there were more idiot checks, I think I might be more inclined to agree with you. IMO, put them all up front so if people cant do them, we know before the fight. The entrance to any raid content should be designed as follows: don't cross the charges while avoiding void zones, do the Heigan dance while staying 10 yards away from each other, play frogger while avoiding lava waves, and hide behind an ice block while not falling down the elevator from serpentshrine before you can get into any 25 man content.

Here's a question that might baffle. If the items bought with the Emblems of Heroism are bind to account, and you can freely trade them between your characters, does that mean that they can be traded from from horde to Alliance on the same server, and thus, can they be traded from server to server.

Meaning, Can I earn them as Alliance on Lightbringer server , and use them on Horde on Borean Tundra server? if they be on the same account?

Nothing can be traded across factions outside of the neutral AH. So you can't mail items that are BoA from one faction to another even if you're on a PvE server. Also BoA transferring is limited to the same realm. You can't mail cross realms so the only way you can get it to another realm is to transfer the character with the item to another realm.

Apparently come Patch 3.2, Emblems of Heroism and Valor both will be basically phased out of drops according to the latest PTR patch notes. In place, Emblems of Conquest (Ulduar 25 emblems) will drop in their place and still be traded down for Valor and Heroism.

You can still purchase Emblem of Heroism and Emblem of Valors with Emblems of Conquests. After the patch goes through, if you need 60 emblem of Valors for the bracers but only have 55, you can buy the 5 EoV with EoC. Same thing with buying EoHeroism.

An upgrade is an upgrade, and might as well continue doing heroics if you need it.

You can trade Emblems of Triumph for Emblems of Conquest, which in turn can be traded for Emblems of Valor, which in turn can be traded for Emblems of Heroism :) The reason you can do this is because you can buy heirloom items with the Emblems of Heroism that you may want to buy for levelling alts.

Speak to your factions Emblem of Triumph Quartermaster in Dalaran and use your Emblem of Triumph to purchase Emblem of Conquest. Then speak to the nearby Emblem of Conquest Quartermaster to purchase Emblem of Valor in the same manner. Finally, speak to the nearby Emblem of Valor Quartermaster and trade Emblem of Valor for Emblem of Heroism and use them to purchase rewards from the Emblem of Heroism Quartermaster, Heirloom Vendor or Brammold Deepmine.

Alternatively, you can talk to Usuri Brightcoin to do the exchanges.

Remember you can ONLY downgrade! Theres no way to get an Emblem of Triumph from an Emblem of Heroism, so be aware of that when you are exchanging emblems.

Emblem of Triumph > Emblem of Conquest > Emblem of Valor > Emblem of Heroism.

Prior to Patch 3.2, this item dropped from 5-Player Heroic Dungeons and 10-Player Raid Dungeons (with the exception of Ulduar). This currency is no longer available as a drop, but can be purchased at a 1:1 exchange from Arcanist Adurin, Magister Brasael or Usuri Brightcoin in Dalaran for Emblème de vaillance.

300 by playing 1 hour per day.
I have just done 28 heroics today , I gained about 160 Emblems of Triumph and it took 10 hours to do. So to answer your question, it would take approximately 20 hours play time as long as your hours were smooth and quick runs :)

As a side note though, I read a blue post referencing the badge system in Cataclysm , saying that they are being scrapped and they have a points system coming in to play to reduce the complexity of constantly downgrading badges to buy things.

Might be worth you holding back until the points system starts tbh.

You can trade emblems 1:1 only downwards in the following hierarchy:
Emblem of Frost
Emblem of Triumph
Emblem of Conquest
Emblem of Valor
Emblem of Heroism
You get many emblems of triumph by running lots of random heroic WotLK dungeons daily. Don't convert them down except just enough to get a specific piece of gear. You can't convert them back up again.

it sucks, you can turn emblem of conquest into emblem of valour, you can turn an emblem of valour into an emblem of heroism but you can turn an emblem of heroism into either of the two.

From my calculations you can earn a potential 48 Emblems of Heroism a Day, most dungeons have 5 bosses in heroic.

Gundrak - 5
Halls of Stone - 4
Halls of Lightining - 5
Culling of Strathholme - 5 (including bonus boss)

Obviously we negelect future dungeons however below is them as well.

Trial of the champion - 3
Halls of Reflection - 3
Pit of Saron- 4
Forge of Souls - 2

Also noting by this time we were at emblem of frost or one of the upgraded emblems , however they all trade 1:1 so its all relative.
