For warlocks:
This dagger or the hypnotic blade combine nicely with a Orb of Dar'Orahil, giving you a 23 shadow damage / 9 other (fire) magical damage and 5 intellect, which beats using a staff of the shade, or a staff of Dar'Orahil.

The hypnotic blade would be preferred, as it adds 8 int 3 spirit next to the 5 intellect of the orb.

Anyone know where this drops or what drops it?

Commentaire de 6833

This was a drop during the Naxx world event from a boss in SM Graveyard I believe. This item can no longer drop in game.

SM GY
You need to clear the boss in the catacomb at the end (this triggers Scorn to spawn), head back to the entrance and you'll spot him, big purple Lich,
Scourge invasion event boss, so will leave when the invasion disapears as well.

Commentaire de Thottbot

This dagger is from Scorn, a new boss in the graveyard area of SM, the only way ive figured out to spawn him is kill the final boss and he spawns at the steps and pats towards the tomb your in. He also drops a nice caster neck and lvl 30 mail gloves with stam and +attack power.

Commentaire de Thottbot

The gloves he drops are Mail and have 10 stam and +20 AP.

Commentaire de Thottbot

If u have glowing brightwood (which i doubt) you should use it, its 10000X better than any combo u could ever get with this.

Commentaire de Thottbot

I think this is a temporary boss, added for the Scourge Invasion of patch 1.11. SFK has an Abomination and I think RFD has a new boss too.

Commentaire de Thottbot

I had my brothers mage run me through SM when he killed the final boss he ran up the steps and outside and he stood up and started talking on his phone, he was then attacked by Scorn in which he had never seen before... he kills him and the dagger dropped. This dagger is awesome! Is he a rare spawn? Or is he just for this patch.

Commentaire de Thottbot

this wud have been a good dagger for 29 twink

Commentaire de Thottbot

Guess he's gone now :(

Commentaire de Thottbot

He's dissapeared. killed Thalnos twice, he is gone

Commentaire de Thottbot

Killed him twice today. He dropped the dagger both times.
He spawns on the graveyard after you killed Bloodmage T. just waited in crypt opening until i see him, since he walks around.

Commentaire de Thottbot

This guy who drops it doesn't spawn anymore. He was there for the duration of the Scourge invasion. Good thing my rogue got this dagger for his offhand :P

Commentaire de Thottbot

i got the dagger off the final boss in SM libary

Commentaire de Thottbot

Wow, that really sucks, went there just to kill Scorn for the fun of it, and found out that Scorn isn't there. Really bites that I didn't go to it fast enough. But I agree, this dagger is not as good as what drops off of Doan. Hypnotic Dagger.

Commentaire de Thottbot

its BoP

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Scorn was part of the Scourge invasion. Since that's over & done with and won't recur, you can't get this item anymore.

I'm sure there may be a couple of these floating around, but it's not essential equipment and Doan's Hypnotic Blade is an obvious upgrade.

So if you're looking for one now, better ask real nice on a private server, otherwise you're SOL.

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Arcanist Doan's dagger is BETTER and it is in the same instance SM LOL only Scorn is in Graveyard and Doan is in Library. Hypnotic Blade is better than this thing.

Commentaire de Allakhazam

this is a very nice dagger for a druid, and no doubt any class that can use it, shame its not 29 :) then there'd be a lot of happy twinks
