100G buyout for that; looking among various sites seems like it's a very good price, my alchemist alt will be happy and full of order for that :)

Wondering if this was on the same CD as health/mana potions.

I just got this last night, dropped on Karazhan trash. I never knew the potion existed until now. Looks like something a mage would want to pop when the Curator goes into evocation or something along those lines.

Also its strange that this provides a flat 2% spell critical strike chance. I thought Blizzard was getting away from that and going more for crit rating than crit %.

Commentaire de 23983

items that buff the druid auras, though, add crit rating to the aura not percent.

Just a comment regarding the % vs rating,

Because ratings are rounded (usually down), sometimes 22.08 rating will be less than 1% crit. By making buffs static, buffs don't get hurt by having a certain rating before the buff so that you get the full effect.

This dropped of the bobs on Quel'Danas today when I was farming Mana Remnants :)

The reason for a percent critical strike rather than a rating is because this potion can be used at levels 60-70.
At level 60, 14 spell crit rating = 1% crit.
At level 70, 22.1 spell crit rating = 1% crit.

If they were to change this potion to spell crit rating, they would have one of two issues:

A) If they wished to make it so at level 60 you gained 2% crit through rating, this potion would only give 28 spell crit rating, which is slightly more than 1% crit at level 70.
B) If they wished to make it so at level 70 you gained 2% crit through rating, this potion would give 44.2 spell crit rating, which would be 3.15% chance to crit at level 60.

As you can see, if the potion used crit rating the inconsistencies of crit percentages between the levels 60 through 70 would vary, causing this potion to be more powerful towards level 60 and become weaker at 70. But because this potion drops from 70-level mobs, it should be equally or more beneficial to use it at level 70. Hence, we have a flat crit percentage.

From a Caster DPS Standpoint

These are an absolute must for fights that involve high sustained DPS during the fight such as Brutallus (approx 1800 DPS minimum). As stated before these do have a shared cooldown with the other potions in the game which may be discouraging to use these in the stead of say a Mana or Health Potion. My advice would be to use a rotation to keep both your health/mana up as well as get this temporary buff. When using Destruction Potions, rely on the Healthstone to keep yourself up, then you can rotate this (to economize your usage of stones) with Super Rejuvenation Potions and a Trinket such as Hex Shrunken Head, The Skull of Gul'dan or Icon of the Silver Crescent. While not perfect, this, in my opinion, is the best way to maximize your uptime for spell damage/ spell crit buffs as well as keep your health and mana up.

Happy Raiding :)

How lucky for me!
The recipe dropped from a Sunfury Conjurer @ Manaforge Duro in Netherstorm.

And guess what, I'm an alchemist!! ;) Just wondered if I should sell it or learn it, since I'm a rogue. The only use for me would be to sell the potions.

Hehe... Sold it for 500g.... nice money.

Commentaire de 172783

Apparently this recipe is pretty rare on my server. Don't remember what mob it dropped from, but I managed to sell it for a good 600g.

Commentaire de 81529

Given the simplicity of the mats, this is a great recipe to level with without resorting to Transmutes.

Commentaire de Harson

Just dropped for me off "Coosh'Coosh" ; the Sporregar guy on the border between Terokkar and Zangarmarsh. I was farming him for EXP on my Shaman! Nice surprise, hehe. Managed to sell in like 5 minutes. 2 Minutes to run to Shatt, 3 to get a buyer. Lol.

Commentaire de 27604

Its random on the loot table because its a world drop.

World drop - Able to drop from any mob on the server of the apropriate level. Impossible to predict where or when it will drop next.

Commentaire de 379363

Just got mine for 35g. I love when people don't know what they have.

Commentaire de Gant

is the wotlk version.

Commentaire de Allakhazam

I announced this item on trade and had three ppl begging for it. It went for 500g! WTF is it about this recipe? This is my best sale ever in 2.5 years!

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Potion awesome? Very yes.

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Dropped from one of the Skyriss' in Arc a while ago.

There was none on the AH when I went to sell my stuff and I didn't feel like looking it up so I slapped it up there for 100g buy out and 55g bid. Sold sometime while I was asleep for 100g.

Wasn't expecting a green to go for so much.

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Got this recipe in Botanica from one of the trash mobs :D

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Hm, damage trinket in potion form.

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Just my thoughts... rather than just using this to get burst DPS on my Mage, I also use these at the begining of boss fights with my Palatank.

The initial burst of Holy DPS jumps my aggro high enough that the rest of the group dosen't have to worry nearly as much about their threat... thus higher DPS and faster fight.

Some people think it's better to keep the potion cooldown for the possibility of needeing to health-pot. Frankly, if you end up needeing to health-pot in the first 2 min... then you need to get a better healer.

Commentaire de Thottbot

Commentaire de Thottbot

I bought this recipe for 10g in AH today, since I have not seen it in AH before I grabbed it pretty quick. Any idea how much they go for on average?

Commentaire de Thottbot

i got this recipe to drop off of a mob in arcatraz

Commentaire de Thottbot

Only seen one of these recipes since I started 6 months ago. Going for 500G on the AH

Commentaire de Thottbot

dropped from mobs outside oshugun 2 month ago :>

Commentaire de Thottbot

Though Alcemy doesnt have Blue Recipes for pots this one is probably really tough and great for AOE casters. Went for no less then 600g the 3 times ive seen it since BC. Pots are going to 60g a stack so you make your money back pretty quick on this Recipe. Dropped from Shadow Labs but i lost roll :(.

Commentaire de Thottbot

I just got this off the third trash mob in shattered halls, and they let me need on it since I was the only alchemist there. Then I check my AH, 350g! And it really is a fntastic potion, it's like being able to pop a trinket again. Very nice for burst damage.

Commentaire de Thottbot

The recipe dropped for me in Skettis, after escorting our dear confused prisoner! Sent promptly to my Alchemist character. But, I may see if it is offered on my server Khadgar before learning it. I am trying to decide between specializing in potions, elixirs or transmutes.

Commentaire de Thottbot

Bought this for 25g today on the Duskwood server. Usually it goes for 500+ Thank you uneducated person who sold it to me :D

Commentaire de Thottbot

Picked this up on Ghostlands 7G buyout. XD wow. Thanks!

Commentaire de Thottbot

8G BO on Dunemaul. :)

Nightmare Vine is quite easy to get now with the Isle Of Quel'Danas. Easy Mats, nice pot.

Commentaire de Thottbot

I've been checking the AH on my server at least twice a day for new recipes since I made my alchemist 4 months ago and I've only seen it on once, for 225g, which I bought.

Commentaire de Thottbot

had it drop for me in BEM near gruuls lair, gave it 2 an alchimist in my guild for free as long as she made me them whenever i need, free destruction pots ftw =D
