Drops off Gehennas, Lucifron, Sulfuron or Shazzrah. It is a very good Warlock/Mage dagger for a guild that is starting MC. It can be combined with Fire Runed Grimoire (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=19142) that also drops in MC or an off-hand AV reward.

Easily replaceable by the Mageblade.

Commentaire de star1

very good together , i have them on my mage with the stats and on top of that the damage bonus , so far i havent seen a staff to bet it ...

Commentaire de 8924

This little weapon works best with a intel enchant and a good 15 + intel off hand.

Commentaire de Majai

This is indeed a super rare zone drop - after doing MC for over a year with several guilds, I have never seen this dagger drop. Although it's not very good, if you get it, it may be interesting to keep just for the rarity value.

Commentaire de Thottbot

good for any mage, priest or warlock that wants to equip an off-hand item

Commentaire de Thottbot

as if the name of the weapong Sorcerous Blade didn't clue rogues into the nature of the weapon?

Commentaire de Thottbot

One of the best caster daggers there is, nothing else comes close in intellect.

I used this combined with a spellbound tome and together it's 34 int, 14 stam, and 8 spirit. Only the Staff of Dominance is better imo, and with the new +22 int or spirit enchant, this dagger is way sexy for ANY casting class.

Commentaire de Thottbot

Any rogue that rolled on this in my guild would be booted and if we could we'd delete his account. I've played three rogues. All you need to know:

NO Agi bonus
NO Crit bonus
17 Intellect

Commentaire de Thottbot

won it today and i love it

Commentaire de Thottbot

Its a great dagger for bonus to magical attacks and doesn't cost a heap load of DKP. Most people wish to equip themselves with the Staff of Dominance or the Azuresong Mageblade straight out leading to them costing vast amounts of DKP.

Also as I note, I got a +30SpellPower enchant it straight after winning it and the glow does not change.

Commentaire de Thottbot

This dagger is a pretty good alternative weapon for mages to use before you get your hands on the azuresong. Slap on a +30 spell damage enchant and combine this with the tomb of the icelord and the wand of biting cold (both from AV) and you've got yourself a combo of 100 spell damage, 26 intellect and 8 stamina.

Commentaire de Thottbot

As a rogue, I wouldn't use this dagger if someone paid me. You get better daggers from lvl 58 hellfire quests. Intellect does nothing for rogues and we don't cast healing spells. My green dagger does the same DPS at level 58 and this dagger is way too fast for a main hand dagger, your ambushes will be crap. Noobs.

dropped off Gehennas and I got it :D

Im still using this damn thing 6 months after I got it. Its nice, especially with the +55 healing, but Im really tired of it now. At least I have the Talon of Furious Concentration now to go with it.

And Jin'do's Judgement. I just need to get it enchanted and all is happy.

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Dropped off Luci 4/20 on Mannoroth

Commentaire de Allakhazam

really crap, bloodcaller pwns this

Commentaire de Allakhazam

off Luci today =)

Commentaire de Allakhazam

The approximate drop chance to get any of,

Azuresong Mageblade, Staff of Dominance or Sorcerous Dagger,

in a full MC clear is 39.9%.

Commentaire de Allakhazam

You noobs below saying this sucks:

This is one of the oldest epics in the game. You just don't expect such epics to be better than the new ones.

Besides, why would you waste your DKP here? Priests/Druids can get Aurastone Hammer, Warlocks and Mages get Azuresong Mageblade on the same instance.

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Dropped off Shazzrah today on Deathwing, and my Shamy got it ;)

Still not sure what to put on it.. +22 int or healing/spellpower

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Commentaire de Allakhazam

GOt this for 19 dkp...:D got the +22 int on it ..

works good with Fire Runed Grimoire that i also uses. those 2 parts give me +60 int :D

Commentaire de Allakhazam

I got it off Lucifron after I gave up hope on ever getting the Mageblade to drop, I was foolish to roll on it it's much better for other people but 2 good things about this dagger, Fast attack speed helps me against shamans (to melee totems down quick) and it looks really good on my char, if you are a Mage just pass on this and save for the mageblade, that is of course if for some reason you'r guild isnt capable of doing golemagg, but if you can do Lucifron, you should be able to do him, he's the easiest boss in MC imo

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Got it on a first run interguild raid on MC, droped of luci and as nobody had dkp we open rolled on suitable class's and i as a mage won.

I am under no illusion that it will last me forever but i assure you i will get some decent longevity out of it until i get magesong at a good dkp spend.

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Nice with +55 Healing/Spell Power on it...

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Dropped for me today from sulfuron. :-)

Commentaire de Allakhazam

I use this for pvp and i am a druid. The int on this thing helps me last awhile with the moonfire and the healing going on, plus, the 20 spell/healing isnt bad either. Its not the best dagger/caster wep yea, but its pretty damn good for a 1-hander.

Commentaire de Allakhazam

off Gehennas last week, cool green glow on it.

Commentaire de Allakhazam

I have taked this from lucifron and with +22 is a nice weapon.... aurastone is better but i never drop it --.--

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Funny how a dagger off the second boss in zg is just as good as this thing. :/

Commentaire de Allakhazam

On Skullcrusher, got one off Lucifron 3 weeks ago, which would be 5/2.

Got another one last night, also off Lucifron, which would be 5/21.

Happy casters...

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Much like the shadow/thunderstrike, this thing is garbage. Compared to the azuresong mageblade (also MC loot!) this dagger does not hold up at all.

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Dropped off Lucifron, patch day, on Garona.

Damn well think I might be the only person who has it at the moment.

Commentaire de Allakhazam

I got one of these, it's nice with a plus damage enchant on it, but it really needs a buff I think, they buffed the fang of mystics to now have an extra +40 dmg in addition to it's previous stats and left this one as is.

/shrug

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Got mine off Luci about a month ago, and put +22 intel on it within an hour on Garona server. Shadow Priest DPS FTW!

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Has anyone seen this drop recently?... Used to see it all the time, now it kinda disappeared.

Commentaire de Allakhazam

Dropped off Lucifron in Molten Core on Wed. 4/20/05 on Kil'Jaden.

Dropped of Gehennas Last night!
Got it for 50dkp ^^

Im a Happy mage, got Frostwolf off-hand, Tome of the Ice Lord

Commentaire de Allakhazam

What is this, Blade of the New Moon++ or something? +20 dmg isn't that much for an epic. Stats are nice but not great.

I'm going for the Mageblade. :)
