Pretty sure this is the actual blade you "drop" in Onyxia's Lair, to have her Flame Breath. Any verification?

Almost. You have to go through one more step to get the "Unfired Ancient Blade", which you do need to drop in front on Onyxia. When done right, it becomes the "Treated Ancient Blade" and the last step is to head by to DM Library. Quite the fun quest; not only do you get an amazing epic sword out of the deal, it's not really too hard to do and you get to have an epic sitting around in your inventory for the whole duration of it ;-)

I did my quel serrar and I still had this in my bags. When I click on it it tells me you do not meet the requirements for this quest. Not You have already completed this quest. Which leads me to believe that perhaps at level 70 we can upgrade our quelserrars or something. I still have my quelserrar and this item both sitting in my bank. Once I hit level 70 in xpack I can verify this.

Where does this item drop or where do you get the quest for it? JW, dont really care if you call me a nub/noob/nubcake/whatever cuz i dont filter a lot of my time into this game so i dont know a whole lot about lvl 60 stuff.

Lately on a day in the newest test realm, i found a player with ''The high blade'' so i asked how or where did he get this, he said: Eueuuuuuuuuhhh... yahea dude! how are ya in die summer aatt nicht? so i.. oh wait.. he didn't said that, he said: it's a random drop in Dire Maul,

when u get Foror's compendium u must complete it in dire maul, then ull get this blade, and complete it again

if u like doing dire maul,foror's compendium of dragonslaying is very probably to drop,if not,u can buy it from the AH (i got mine for 30g)and u do the quest that leads to the athenaeu.when u complete it,u get the sword that leads to the npc that leads to onyxia.was it that fuking hard?

Just to clarify, is all u have to do is the the book to drop and that's basically the quest for the sword? Not really anything in between or could someone clarify for me pls?

i think i figured it out....u take the book Nostro's Compendium complete the q ad at the athenaeum u get the dull elven blade which starts the chain q that leads to onixya
