So just a little pointless fun-o reference. I prefer finishing the quest on the alliance side and watching them all go kick Larions ass, but hey, it's cool.. I guess.

Useless quest reward, it only kills the easily-avoided Bloodpetal Pests in the refuge, not the various fully grown Bloodpetals out in the crater. I'd much rather Larion just keep the darn thing and keep the pests constantly exterminated so they're gone when I fly into the refuge or return from questing.

Good xp from the quest though, about 8000 at 53 just from turning in the two parts (5 Atal'ai Haze, then 1 Bloodpetal Sprout). That's not including the xp for killing the mobs in ST.

Horde lock:
As far as I can tell It has no cooldown and auto targets & kills 1 pest within the 10 metre range when ever you use it.

So for a bit of a spoil sport moment wait for an ali to release the pests upon our poor horde npc, and zapp away killing all before they reach him LOL

U can use the zapper on the little petals that spawn near the guy that gives you the zapper. Sometimes you see him fighting them himself.On the little petals the zapper gives instakills, but on normal petals in the rest of the crater it does nothing.

...but it's a dumb one. I was reading the page on this quest and the item and when I got back into the game I was being attacked by at least 10 of those little things right there in the camp. Good thing I went back into the game. They were only doing 2 dmg or so each but that adds up. I zapped them all but still nothing happened. No new quest, no loot. Bah, it seems like completing this quest made it necessary to keep the zapper on you if you plan on doing much in the camp just do defend yourself agains your new enemies

Yeah.. it's just a novelty. I'm not sure if I should keep it or drop it and free up some inventory space. There are a lot of items like this in the game where you'll use them only a couple of time and then nothing. Stuff like this should disappear after a certain amount of time. I wouldn't miss it.

Does anyone actually know what this thing is used for, except killing little plants that attack Larion in the UnGoro crater base camp? If its just a toy this is a damn crappy reward for a chain of 3 quests one of which is elite .... Since it does say quest item it definitely smells of a follow-up quest or something but maybe its bugged. If someone asked a GM about it, please post what you found out.

All it does, and will do is zap the bloodpetal pests... quest item most likley since its apart of the quest with bloodpetals, but you dont need it at all, its there for amusment, part of the nintendo theme... Linken(LINK), Larion(Mario), Muigi(LUIGI), Zapper(The Zapper Gun for nintendo)

If you drop the zapper and talk to the guy again, you can offer to help him and he gives you another zapper

just zaps the little ones that the alliance npc sends over, pretty lame for end reward from a quest chain. about 3900 exp at level 56

TIL you don't even have to target the little bastages, just run around spamming it and you'll zap them dead. Sometimes you get a two-fer, but you can't group them all up and zap them at once. Not having to target them makes this about twice as fun.
