There's a nice functionality in 5s or even 3s tho, where Mending and Circle and do a lot of hps, proccing a lot of Surges of Light(each Mending tick can proc it) for free instant flashes. Cheap 2 AoE spells into Free instant, Everything instant + there's a 60% sprint from the BnS, the mobility felt superior very often. You can also dispel poisons, which is not something to make the light of, making you a 4 types of dispel spec.
Also, for arena, Serendipity makes you cast GH like no tomorrow, topping someone from the doorstep of hell to full hp, in a second. And with plenty of free flashes you get stacks no problem.
Not saying that Holy is suddenly an insane spec, but it definitely needs to be used well to be efficient. With being able to dispel poisons, can just drop a distance from the rogue for a tiny bit, dispel the snare and ms, Shield self, and rocket jump the hell away from him, using LoS to avoid his throw, gain distance, up to reset or drink. Then, BnS, you, at Blades' Edge, can just jump sprint self, run to the mid, tossin instants and, at 0s, jump off the edge, putting Levitation on self, flying already to another side of the arena, while still capable of dropping em healing bombs on the team, or deathing blinds, or whatever you desire. Then, Surge of Light, obviously, Flash is the main purpose, but you also can use it on Smite, adding some frustrating to people bursts, like Holy Fire + instant Smite + Death, making someone drop quite significantly, if scoring a couple of crits, may even chop someone in half. Yes, disc can do the same with Penance + passively, with the Reflective Shield tal, but, you still get the point, there's another element noone talks about, that makes up for something disc has. And, due to it being random, may just get lucky and machinegun someone with chain Smite procs from Mending jumps. The maximum I've gotten was around 5 procs in a row, slashing for 2 and 3+(crit) thousands, just running after a guy. I wonder what it felt like, on the other side. Then, mana burn. I'm using a mana burn 2/2 tal spec, why would I not, when with 60% sprint I can Burn a fellow priest and run away before he gets me, or with the same sprint just get into position to Burn, like corner of the pillar, cutting the LoS opportunities faster than the thinking process of the opponent. Imagine doing it without the sprint now, each extra microsecond is the loss of surprise. Can get Psychic Screams, like, 10 times easier as well. Can make your teammates do completely different from usual kinds of setups, imagine a Freedom+BnS on the Arms warrior, in the arena. Nitro boosts + freedom pot simulation enabled. And you can dispel magic snares as well, making the sprint instantly play its' full role. Plenty of times I've saved people from Chains of Ice DK gargoile go, the target is sprinting away in LoS after 2 GCDs, "how is that possible" you might ask. Poor lock got gripped on teleport, now he's sprinting away, DK outplayed -> left behind somehow? HPriest Magic.
Again, not saying that Holy is suddenly a crazy spec, but that it's underrated, and less of a nuisance, so that people who like to limit the game to several viable-to-R1 specs won't make it more negative than it is, making a party. The game is negative-centered. For example, damage meters, they have "Deaths", but don't have "Saved", which would've contained a lot of moments when I've gotten somebody up near death with yet another Surge or Circle. Please, respect my little Holy Priest enthusiasts. The most crisp spec out there.
