This seems to duplicate the Achievement Dungeon & Raid Emblem, but this awards no achievement points. This might indicate that Blizzard is planning on removing all of the Emblem Achievements and replacing them with this Feat of Strength as consolation.

This has been added into the game as of Mar 23, 2010, patch 3.3.3.
This indicates that earning your first emblem of any kind will result in a Feat of Strength. It's odd though, because FoS are considered difficult to get, due to the amount of luck or skill involved (Why? Because It's Red), and/or the objective is no longer in game (Amani War Bear).

My speculation: Currently, it's rather reasonable to expect a level 80 character to be able to raid and run heroics long enough to get to current achievements of, say, 1000, 1500, 2500 emblems. But once Cataclysm hits, almost nobody will be running WotLK raids or level 80 heroics, and so most players won't see more than half a dozen or so emblems, and that just from running through what will then be an "old" heroic with a bunch of guildies for fun.

Doesn't mean they'll be taking out the heroic/raid "special mode" boss achievements. Those could still be fun to do at level 85... and many will still be a difficult challenge even then.

What?..

Do we -really- need a Feat of Strength to get 1 emblem? How the hell does that work?

"Yes! I got an emblem and I got an achievement for it! A Feat of Strength! Surely now everyone will bow down to my vast and superior power! ... wait, what?.."

Downrate if you must, but I think it is rather silly to get a Feat of Strength for something that is so easy to obtain. As if the Emblems was the reward from some epic world event that you could only get once.

I think they'll just rename emblems. They were first called badges in TBC, then they were renamed to emblems in WotLK. Maybe to avoid confusion.
