Vorsicht hier!

Ansonsten Tanken, Heilen, Spotten, ausschalten.

4. Boss (Halion)

Fähigkeiten(unvollständig):

dont downrate me or anything but why is halions name the twilight destroyer, he destroys twilight dragons?

Kommentar von Miith

Actually, assuming that the Zarhym quote from Blizz is accurate, they have in fact confirmed heroic difficulties.

Kommentar von charlie672

great, another dragon-killing...nice work, blizzard. leave dragons alone!

Kommentar von jGarand

I'll be curious to see if the Chamber of Aspects continues to have more Instances in Cataclysm, like the continuation of CoT instances from BC to LK

Kommentar von Rushlow

The battle that is to come will surely deal a crippling blow to the Red Dragonflight, however, it is up to you to stop this unprecedented offensive and defend the Ruby Sanctum. First you must face the assault of Halion's servants, Saviana Ragefire, Baltharus the Warborn, and General Zarithrian, before squaring off against Halion the Twilight Destroyer, a new and deadly force in this realm.

The Ruby Sanctum will feature 10- and 25-player content, Heroic difficulties and all-new rewards! Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to its release.

According to the description given by Zaryhm.

Kommentar von Rankkor

the place looks awesome, hopefully it will live up to the expectations of it.

Kommentar von Happyfisherman

Whenever I see the Halion screenshot, I keep thinking "Spyro".

Kommentar von Zorie

Will be the beginning of an advancement in the storyline for Cataclysm.

Sounds really interesting ! Can't wait to see the storyline in Cataclysm

Kommentar von 202502

hmm, so, this is going to be like Onyxia-after-Ulduar, just that its Ruby Sanctum-after-ICC?

I mean, its as good rewards as ICC, but, how much easier will it be to obtain it?

Kommentar von Nechifor

So the final boss in this raid will be a staff dropped by the Lich King?

https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=51799

Kommentar von 441568

"Icecrown Citadel will remain the most challenging raid in WotLK."

So i guess its kinda gearing up for ICC? I know we can do it in other way, but as its less challenging, and same iLvL...

Also nice to hear Cataclysm storyline is opened with this place: " the Black Dragonflight look to crush those that would stand in the way of their master’s reemergence into Azeroth"

Cant wait :D

Kommentar von 545254

can`t wait map looks awesome :)

Kommentar von 7103

I'm just glad Blizzard is going to continue to release content for us, even if it's small things like this.

I'm already getting burnout from raiding ICC over and over and Cataclysm is still a ways off.

Kommentar von Arikara

Sounds good! When will the tactics be up?

Kommentar von jose122

cool! more raids more fun

Kommentar von atlas304

i hope we get a 5 man in 3.4 at least

Kommentar von 563900

Well that really sucks, i wanted to see a 3d RS attempt, couldnt be any harder than when people were doing 3d OS pre-Ulduar. Hopefully they will change it around, but who knows with Cataclysm right around the corner.

Kommentar von 68221

Can't wait to see it's loot table. Do they drop a 310% move speed drake too like OS ?

Kommentar von Kibagami

I really hope they gonna allow us to kill Halion first before his lieutenants!

Let me explain:

Do you remember back when people started pugging OS at the begining of WotLK?
What was the main problem? You sometimes find yourself into a pug that could kill the drakes but couldn't kill the main boss, then you where saved for it all week without the chance of getting any loots except 3 badges :(

For the same reason today we can kill the new VoA frost boss first so that if we get a group of f---tards we are not saved with them, I think they should allow us to go kill Halion first. They also said that they didn't plan to make the fight like Sarth with +1/+2/+3 drakes so i think they might actually allow us to do it.

I know, I know it's not really the usual way of doing things (going for the last boss before the small ones) but who care about that anyway, we playing to have fun and there's no fun getting saved with a bunch of f---tards who didn't bother learning how to play.

Kommentar von 475018

I hope this is a quicker raid like Voa or Onyxia. It would make getting gear easier.

Kommentar von 567643

Somehow related to Halion, Staff of Forgotten Love

Kommentar von 567643

Laughing about! ;

I wish it meant Halion would destroy the Twilight franchise.

Say a Prayer

As for the Blacks, they're just evil.

=O! Call Revren All Sharpton and Jesse Jackson!

Kommentar von 535042

This is 3.3.5.
Patch 3.3.9 will most likely be the last patch before 3.4, which should be Cataclysm.

Kommentar von 212168

I really hope they wont do it like WOTLK. At all i just hope that this expansion will get really close to WoW Classic. If it stood to me. They should not have made all the expansions.... Clasic was the best...

Kommentar von 203588

prolly gonna be like a twilight destroyer title

Kommentar von 167042

why is blizz being racist u kill BLACK dragons thats straight up racist man =O

Kommentar von 555421

to me at least it looks like each boss will have an aspect. sorry if someone has already stated this in previous posts, i don't feel like reading all 90 comments lol. but there shall be a boss that is like a tree ent. another that is a rock elemental kind of like in Nagrand at the thrown of elements. and the last a water elemental such as in violet hold. don't take this info to heart cause this is just how i am perceiving the zone layout. but just food for thought.

Kommentar von 360534

Halion the Twilight Destroyer -
"Don't look so smug! I know what you're thinking, but The Obsidian Sanctum was merely a set back. Did you honestly believe I would trust the future to some ugly, DK solo-able dragon? Oh no, he was merely an instrument, a stepping stone to a much larger plan! It has all led to this, and this time, you will not interfere!"

Kommentar von 561426

oh god this must be so good and hopefully it will be good so i can get better gear than ICC and hopefully they make it fun...
god i cant wait till this comes out

Kommentar von Okacz

1st of all, the loot here will be comparable to the one from ICC.
Right now we know about trinkets that gonna drop there here is a short preview:
Melee DPS Trinket: When you deal damage you have a chance to gain 1304 attack power for 15 sec. (Piercing Twilight)
Caster DPS Trinket: Your damaging spells have a chance to grant 763 spell power for 15 sec. (Twilight Flames)
Tank Trinket: Melee attacks which reduce you below 35% health cause you to gain 4401 health for 10 sec. Cannot occur more than once every 30 sec. (Scaly Fortitude)
Healer Trinket: Each time your direct healing spells heal a target you cause the target of your heal to heal themselves and friends within 10 yards for 356 each sec for 6 sec. (Twilight Renewal)

Those are all 25 man trinkets, other loot remains secret

For anyone who wants them, here's a list of some sounds taken from the MPQ files. Probably the intro speech from when you first enter:

"We believed the sanctum was well fortified, but we were not prepared for the nature of this assault."

"The black dragonflight materialized from thin air and set upon us before we could react."
/script PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Creature\\xerestrasza\\RS_Xerestrasza_Say02.wav")

"We did not stand a chance. As my bretheren perished around me I managed to retreat here and bar the entrance."
/script PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Creature\\xerestrasza\\RS_Xerestrasza_Say03.wav")

"They slaughtered us with cold efficiency, but the true focus of their interest seemed to be the eggs kept here in the sanctum."
/script PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Creature\\xerestrasza\\RS_Xerestrasza_Say04.wav")

"The commander of the forces on the ground here is a cruel brute named Zarithrian but I fear there are greater powers at work."
/script PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Creature\\xerestrasza\\RS_Xerestrasza_Say05.wav")

"In their initial assault, I caught a glimpse of their true leader; a fearsome, full grown twilight dragon."
/script PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Creature\\xerestrasza\\RS_Xerestrasza_Say06.wav")

"I know not the extent of their plans heros, but I know this; they cannot be allowed to succeed!"
/script PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Creature\\xerestrasza\\RS_Xerestrasza_Say07.wav")

good thing that blizz should do is open all of the sanctums like the emerald ect ect ect. that would be awesome to round it all up to cata and then bam deathwing comes out of deepholm and the red and bronze dragonflight join forces to wipe out deathwing and his forces :D

Supposedly RS loot was to be on the same tier as ICC (251/264/277) however, according to what has dropped and what spells are in the game files, it will be itemized 1/2 a tier higher than ICC (258/271/284)

Does blizzard think that tanks die to much? If they do then either they are doing something wrong, or the healers/dps are doing something wrong.

BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING LOOK AT THE STATS!
(A.K.A. follow the link!)

Ooh and KingArthis, its Arthas, not Arthis. His name may sound like the latter but its not spelled that way. You were meaning This guy Right?

By Kaelnarae55
It's just Obsidian Sanctum with different dragons and different bosses.

Obviously you haven't read up on what blizzard has said, its not "Just another Obsidian Sanctum" From what i have seen so far its more inclined to a Preemptive Strike, Like "In WW2 when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor and the Six Day War where Israel attacked Jordan, Egypt, and Syria." At east in story terms. :P
Yes the layout is similar to OS, Yes 3 mini bosses and one big boss, Yes their dragons, but it isn't their Sanctum.

I am so disappointed to see there are no weapons or shields available among the new gear. Especially shields...healers and tanks are the backbone of a good raid and shields have been hard to come by.

For those of you who are wondering why you can't get in to Ruby Sanctum, read the Blue below.

"Due to the fact that we will be delaying the release of patch 3.3.5 in Europe, Korea and Taiwan in order to ensure the patch process in all regions is as smooth as possible, the Ruby Sanctum will not immediately be available on North American realms upon the release of the patch. Once patch 3.3.5 has been released in North America and we are confident about a time when we can open up Ruby Sanctum, we will provide an update here on the forums."

Kommentar von 468940

The Ruby Sanctum will not be available to US players because of QQing Europeans. It WILL be available next week once the patch is released on all enGB servers.

Kommentar von dttaz

"When a clutch of twilight dragonflight eggs was discovered within the Obsidian Sanctum, Korialstrasz asked the Council of Six to send adventurers to destroy them. The deed was done quickly, and without fanfare or acknowledgment. At first all seemed quiet, but then all communication with the guardians in the Ruby Sanctum ceased. The guards stationed at the portal were slain, and the mystic stones shattered. The implications of the Ruby Sanctum being breached are dire, and little is known of the identity of the attackers, as the black dragonflight's numbers in Northrend seem too limited to have pulled off such an attack. What power would dare to attack the stronghold of the red dragonflight, and how did they get past the guards undetected?" -wowwiki

Also just from reading the books. Deathwing aka Neltharion, the Earth-Warder had possession of the Dragon Soul, and was being driven mad by The Old Gods and was trying to pretty much kill everything with it, the Dragon Soul became known as the Demon Soul and corrupted Neltharion and he became Deathwing. Malfurion Stormrage along with the help of Korialstrasz captured the Demon Soul. Illidan, Malfurions brother, who was already being corrupted by the Sargeras had captured Malfurion and the Soul and attempted to use the soul to bring Sargeras into the world. Everyone ended up fighting over the Demon Soul and it was Stormrage who was victorious and the four remaining Aspects banished the Demon Soul.

Twilight dragons are mutants, they are the result of experimentation done by the Black dragons (Neltharion/Nefarian/Sinestra)

actually, twilight dragons are not mutants, the mutants you refere to are called "Chromatic Dragons" or "The Chromatic Flight" and they are an experiment done by Nefarian and some others, you can experience them in BWL.
the goal of the experiment was to take all the resistance properties of all dragons and put them in 1 dragon, basicly making him extremly resistant to all kind of damage and very very dificult to kill.
green drakes are resistant to nature damage, blue dragons to frost, red to fire and so on, and Nefarian tried to make the ultimate dragon, and it sort of worked, in BWL you encounted mobbs that have resistance to ALL damage types BUT one, he is "hyper allergic" to that one damage type and takes alot of damage from it, as for Chromaggus, his resistances changes all the time so he is not a successfull experiment either, but i dare to say he is MORE successfull then the others.
