You can't play on a US realm with an EU account, you would need a totally new US account for that.

edit: In case you'd be willing to get that new US account I guess your best bet would be to go on a west coast realm, I think they are 8 hours behind UK time. Maybe a realm with a lot of Australian players to get even more time difference =P

0800-1200 GMT is 0300-0700 Eastern Time. I don't know of many guilds that raid that early in the morning. I would say try and find a realm that is located in Australia, at 0800 GMT it should be late enough over there to have several guilds online.

This next part is entirely a guess on my part. If you happen to work from 1200-2000 GMT and get home at 2100, that is 1600 Eastern time. I know some people that might raid then, but on my server we mainly raid around 2100 Eastern time or 0200 GMT time.

(all this is assuming I'm right about Eastern being 5 hours behind GMT, been a while since I had to use GMT time)
