Can anyone point out such nice bosses and extra loot that are Alliance only?

Seems rather unfair.

(lets not forget the huge whines about the horde only level 40 or so trinket that gave attack power and hit rating)

Im a 42 sub rogue (untwinked 1800hp) and I was trying to farm for that sword. I stealthed all the way to the vikings with little problems. Though I could think someone that hasn't specced master of deception would have to be much more careful. So when I reached the Dwarves I just went straight on Baelog and ignored the others. Used ghostly strike and then evasion and killed him with 500 hp left then vanished. After eating I took the other 2 without any problems. Sword dropped on my 3rd run. :) Good luck.

I'm not sure that he deserves downrating. I know that there are things which are alliance only, but I do seem to notice more horde only content (and the horde only content seems better..or at least more universally obtainable). Take the winterspring frostsaber for instance...an extremely rare mount that I have only seen a handful of times in the three years that I have been playing. Now compare that to these three extra bosses with excellent rogue/hunter twink gear in an easily farmed dungeon.

The same applies to quests as well. In BC the horde got an awesome quest chain that culminated in Thrall himself visiting outland. Though the Alliance is supposed to have many famous heroes in outland (Danath, Kurdran, Alleria, and Turalyon) who could have been involved in a similarly epic storyline only two of them actually exist in game while the other two simply dropped off the face of the earth. The two who ARE there don't even do anything interesting. They give/end one or two quests but none have any special significance. It gives the impression that they intended to do something with it and then decided not to bother.

The idea that the horde is favored does not come from nowhere. Do they *hate* the alliance? No, of course not, but do they put less effort into it? Seems that way to me.

His name is actually misspelled. In Lost Vikings, his name is Baleog, not Baelog. Ale is good, but not that good!

Erik wasn't lucky either, and got his name written as Eric. Olaf is correct, as ironic as it may be.

no alliace cant get any of the drops. If you're that worried about it make a horde and lvl him so he can run uldaman

i killed belog 10+ times and he never drped the sword

yet my friend killed him 6 times and got 2 of the blades

its all about luck and gettting a group or one high lvl to run u in there alot

the goodthing is that he is the first boss on the left.

lol this is the best hunter weapon to get as a 39 twink... im trying to get 2 of them for my twink 39 hunter but if i cant get a second one im dueling this with speedsteel rapier if u want something with similiar stats and still has the agility spend the 35g on buying speedsteel......hope this helps

For those who haven't looked at his drop percentages, you will see the epic 1H sword dazzling longsword at the bottom of his list without clicking show more. I found out that such thing is true. The drop percentage of dazzling longsword off him is 0.1 percent. If you are horde and you are getting ran through like me everyday for nordic longshank, look at Baelog. The sword he has in his hands is'nt nordic longshank, it's unbelievably Dazzling Longsword.

If u want this to drop do uldaman 10000 times and by then it s guarenteed to drop. ( Dazzling Longsword is a straight blade with a golden handle just like Baelog's sword )

Been 15 times with no sword, atleast I'm racking up the arrows for bg :)

I hope for 2 swords soon enough, keep hitting the limit of 5 instances/hour which is annoying. Oh well!

It does kind of suck that alliance cant kill him since he drops the sword and the arrows for 39 twinks...but thats why I rolled horde :P

Chill out. He's off of the second u-shaped annex on the left when you enter the instance. The annex is green on your map then there's another dig off of it, which is orange.

These guys are from the lost vikings of wich you have to get 2 staffs, the Staff of T'sol and the staff of Gnikiv which spells Lost Viking backwards

yay there is Baelog! in the lost vikings (a gameboy game) baelog is one of three main characters, and he shoots a bow and has a sword. he looks like a dwarf in the game but is a viking. play the demo at blizz's "The Lost Vikings" info center.

The Lost Vikings came out on the Sega Genesis almost a year before SNES. Blizzard mainly supported Sega over Nintendo during the 16-Bit era. Hence why Blackthorne (my favorite Blizz game of all time!) was on 32X 9 months before SNES.

Go to Bliz's main site, and you can play a demo of their GBA game The Lost Vikings, which is a remake of their original SNES game of the same name. You play the role of 3 dwarves, Olaf the stout, Baelog the fierce, and Eric the Swift. You alternated control of each one to do certain tasks, as each had their own special ability. Olaf could use his shield to slow fall. Erik the swift could charge you and knock you down with his tough head, and Baelog the Fierce carried a sword and a bow. It seems all these items ended up in WoW, which is really cool. Olaf drops his shield, Erik drops his helm which lets you charge and stun targets, and Baelog drops his sword, bow, and arrows!

The Lost Viking Was On First On Super Nintendo (1992) To Come After On DOS Amiga And Megadrive (1993)
And After In 2003 A Huge Come Back Was Made For This Game.

And Im Not Sure On What It Is But I know That Lost Viking 2 Exist...

These 3 dwarves are in the room where you get the top of the shaft to summon Ironaya. Sadly, they can only be attacked if you are horde, because they are alliance friendly npcs.
