At Neutral reputation you can do Hot and Cold, Blowing Hodir's Horn, and--after the Forging a Head quest duology--Polishing the Helm, which all reward 250 reputation. As you increase in reputation, more daily quests open up that yield more reputation, including Feeding Arngrim at Revered (rewards 350 rep) and Thrusting Hodir's Spear at Honored (rewards 500 rep).

When I checked thing up, there was one thing left unsolved.

The Reins of the Ice Mammoth costs 1000g (base cost) and carry one person only.
The Reins of the Grand Ice Mammoth however, costs 10'000g (base cost) and, what the tooltip suggests, carry one person aswell.

The thing is, if you look at their 3D-Models, the difference is that the Grand Ice Mammoth got 3 seats, even though that isn't mentioned in the tooltip.

Anyone could confirm if the fact of the Grand Ice Mammoth being able to carry 3 players or not?

I have done the chain quest and i'm half way unhated with them but i still can't do anything else to get rep with them and i can't find that quartermaster guy.

I am hated by Sons of Hodir and would love to find out how to get unhated. I don't see any quests available from K3.

You have to do the long, long, quest-chain starting with They Took Our Men! In K3. It takes you to Brunnhildar (sp?) village, you do the quests there, then eventually you get a quest to go to Dun Nifflevar and after a few more quests you get Neutral with them.

It is confirmed that any mob affliated with The Sons of Hodir will NOT lower your rep. I personally solo'd King Jokkum and Oloh, his pet, as well as Lilehoff, losing no rep at all. Also note that while killing these, the pat that walks behind Lilehoff will not aggro you. This was done while revered.

-_- Please don't post things that have already been said. Sure things might have changed since from when the person above posted it. But I doubt blizzard would lower the amount of quests to gain Neutral with them. Therefore your post was unnecessary and redundant.

By yarai on 12/15/2008 (Patch 3.0.3): There's a big, 30+ quest chain that leads to being neutral with the Sons of Hodir that begins with They Took Our Men! in K3.

If you look at this guy in 3d mode, you can see the hapless victims that he stomped on under his boots.

Also you will notice that his armor is made up of human-sized shields and swords.
Shields around his belt and legs, swords on the tips of his boots for traction on the ice I'm guessing.
Even polar bear skins around his arms! I guess we all have to stay warm somehow.

Just if you were curious, if you go to war with them, you can kill him. About an 8 minute respawn timer. You don't lose rep with the Sons of Hodir either.

It won't work like you want it to. Regardless of your reputation with the faction, if you have not completed the appropriate quest chains, you will NOT be able to interact with the Sons from power levelling your reputation with commendations. You could be fully exalted, 999/1000 with them, from sons of hodir commendations, but if you have not done the quests that introduce you to them, tough luck buddy, you've wasted a shedload of currency.

Either ticket a GM ingame, or esle use wowhead, it's probably faster to use wowhead tbh.

They Took Our Men is the absolute basic beggining of the "Sons of Hodir" chain. The actual chain itself, is not listed in one big go on wowhead, but in various parts.

Wowpedia.org has a lovely guide to the Sons Mega-Chain. Anyone wondering where they are in the chain should quite easily be able to follow this guide and find where they left off.

One can definitely not use commendations to farm rep to gain access to the Quartermaster AND if you're a warlock you won't be able to pick up any of the quest chains from K3 until they decide to fix this bug. So, I'm exalted and no quest chains exist :/

There is no tabard, but you get rep for the Relics of Ulduar, which are not even BoP. While questing in SP you collect many, also doing the dailies for SoH. Since the relics are not BoP, you can even BUY your exalted rep, at AH they are going for 2,5G per relic. That means 1G for 10 reputation: 3300G takes you from Honored to Exalted!

As the post above mentions, the harpoon quest can be buggy. Another way to fix that is to die and then fly back up to the top. Once at the top and not on a mount the harpoon works just fine.

To start Reputation grinding with Sons Of Hodir, you need to unlock Neutral with them. You pick up a quest at the "K3" goblin-based village in the south of the Storm Peaks Zone, called "They Took Our Men!". "They took our Men" starts off an exceptionally long quest chain, based especially around Brunnhildar Village, but also Temple of Storms and Fjiorn's Anvil. For most of the quest chain you will acquire a disguise that will activate whenever you are inside the boundaries of Brunnhilder Village.

At some point in the chain, you will become "Hated" with the Sons Of Hodir. Don't panic, this actually means you are nearing the end.

It's very important in order to finish the quest chain off, to notice when you are sent to Fjiorn's Anvil that you will acquire a drop in your bags of an item that looks like a blue stone. This item will start a quest when you click it. You need to finish that quest, take the result to Thorim at the Temple of Storms, and then accept HIS next quest in order to become neutral with the Sons of Hodir.

You will need a flying mount to complete the chain.

At the time I write this, some of the quests are buggy. At one point you will be sent to the Temple of Storms with a harpoon, to fight. Once at the temple, you do not need to guide the mount you are on, it will fly in circles by itself. Use the harpoon on other dragons. If it catches one, a chain will link the two dragons. At this point, if it's bugged, nothing will happen. Persist in harpooning dragons, and what should happen is that when you have a dragon harpooned is that you will automatically get reeled on the chain until you land on the harpooned dragon. At this point target the rider on the dragon, and fight as normal.
