Sadly not a good place to go for Living Essence because of the ton of oozes they share spawns with (which drop no essences).

These have a fairly high drop rate for the Recipe for Greater Nature Protection (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=13496).
While I was farming for oozes in this cave for about an hour, I magaed to snag 7 of the recipes, not to mention a decent amount of herbs.

Great for those alchemists who happen to have lots of alchemist buddies :)

Uh my friend directed me to the weeping cave to kill some of these guys and when I got there, I couldnt find any, did they get rid of these guys in the last patch or something?

Run yourself to the back of the cave to find them. There are more Oozes than Behemoths through out the cave but you will only have to kill a few Oozes every now and then to get to the Behemoths once you get to the back.

I got recipe:greater nature protection potion off my second kill from these guys- sold for 300g =D

Ha! I just got in the cave and wanted to farm some living essences (easy as a rogue to pass those oozes). So here I go, kill a first Behemoth I see and he drops Nature Prot Recipe :D

There is not enough elementals there though for good farm =/

Have fun killing everything because the oozes and the elementals are on the same spawn table.

you know, if every item ever dropped by every mob was entered, and we saw that this had dropped the staff a bit more, the chances are actually less that it will drop it again... since it's a world drop, and so everything should be dropping it equally, it should balance out.

Anyway, you kill this for the nature protection recipe, not an epic.

Dude... notice how it's only dropped it once, and think about that. Everything that's been dropped once has that same percentage on this mob, maybe you thing it's actually not all that common? I bet you could kill a couple thousand of these and not get one.

Spawntime is about average but as someone said before, the oozes + behemoths share the same spawnpoints, so there is a huge number of available spawnpoints.

Ive had some terrible luck grinding for things in the past but got the nature prot recipe off of around the 12th mob :D ah well i suppose it means ill have bad luck at something else.

All very easy to solo but the blue oozes are damn annoying when you killeth them they spawn 5 or so oozelings which are a hasle to kill

I'm getting less than 1% drop rate on Living Essence after 200 kills.
Sure, I could have really bag luck... But after 200... *le sigh.

Within The Weeping Cave.

They share spawn with Devouring Ooze so kill both if farming Rotting Behemoth. Careful with Devouring Ooze they spawn 4-5 adds when die each with around 1k health that combined hit hard.

Watch out for long Ooze pats that can sneak up on you.

Been farming these for two nights now, and they seem to spawn about one to every three or four oozes.
I've been killing everything and had maybe a couple of green items last night, tonight almost every mob dropped only a couple of silver. I finished with a few broken weapons a twill vest, a twill boot and one living essence, the drop rate on all that lovely stuff shown here must be abysmal, as for the recipe well, think it's going to be a looooong time coming.
