Reportedly drops from Ignis in 10-man Ulduar.

This trinket is quite good and arguably better than The General's Heart, which drops from 25-man General Vezax. It's got only 2 less dodge rating and the proc on the Heart is similar to the one on Essence of Gossamer, which was generally regarded as poor even when Blizzard took the "up to 4000 damage prevented" cap off of it. The armor effect on use is a very, very nice thing to have.

For those interested, this trinket gives about 0.3% more avoidance than the previous best avoidance trinket, https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=39292. The "on use" is debatably less useful, but the gain in avoidance makes the trade worthwhile. Additionally, the brevity of the cooldown time is serious boon.

I can see a tank taking all of these and switch them when needed. The Heart of Iron and Royal Seal of King Llane are amazing Stam trinkets for when you know you are taking heavy hits. The General's Heart and Furnace Stone are great for Avoidance sets.

While the Furnace Stone is great for a predictable big hit, the Proc from General's Heart is great for tanking AOE. The Heart of Iron's on use dodge rating compliment’s the massive stamina when you really need it. King Llane’s Parry rating is also quite effective so long as you can use parry. Not that it is the most determining factor, but the parry rating can help the DK’s a lot with thier slow swing timer.

So basically, all four are very sexy so long as you get your hands on them. Should you want to play around and mix and match stats, you have multiple options. It’s nice to have more than 2 options for your 2 trinket slots. Anyone who had to get https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=28830 will agree. :(

Will occupy one trinket slot as being both an avoidance and effective health trinket. The other slot will be filled with Essance of Gossamer till you get either Heart of Iron or Royal Seal of King Llane

A wise tank should try to get rid of Repelling Charge A.S.A.P. once he/she gets this beauty.

This is for tanking druids. Maybe it helps making up your mind.
I was thinking about which item to use. Furnace stone / Defender's Code.

After some calculations The Furnace Stone is a bit better.

Furnace Stone gives:
*105 dodge rating
*859 armor (5152/6)

Defender's Code gives:
*76 dodge rating (455/6)
*850 armor

This comparison is only accurate if your trinket is always on cooldown.

This trinket is a beauty. It's IMO better than it's 25 man counterpart due to it's on-use proc.
