The banner video seems to be showing the penants on the npcs back... those are not the banners, the things on the ground next to each city area with the faction icons are the banners... you plant them on the ground not on your back... so no you can't use them to confuse horde or whatever... its just another toy for flavor like the shirts and tabards...

For clarity, this is a banner that you summon and set on the ground. Think of it like a racially proud Archmage Vargoth.

This item provides no combat bonus.
This item is permanent.
It can be used anywhere. Indoor/Out.

If you can't decide if you want it or not, a few things to think about...
1. It's the only vanity item you can purchase on your first day as champion (for MOST people...some people might get lucky with a wonky server reset).
2. Take it for a test run. Don't forget, in 3.1 you can sell back your item to get the marks back from it. If you decide you don't like it, sell it back and get back your fifteen champion's seals.

Also of note is that all of the banners, when planted, last for the entirety of their cooldown (Aka: 3 minutes). Might be funny to plant this on Thrall's corpse in a raid, heh.

The banner is very large; it's the same model as the Stormwind banner in the nearby Alliance Valiants' Ring. Assuming the other banners follow the same pattern, these can be a very nice addition to your next guild kill-shot.

does this item have Charges? like for example if you use it, it loses 1 charge untill it reaches 0 charges and it disapears like some items ?

They should allow you to have GUILD Banners. It'd be easy enough to code it. Plant the banner, and your guild's symbol is on it, just like on your tabard.

Can you IMAGINE the mess a guild banner system would make of Stormwind? Or Dalaran? Lagaran indeed. it WOULD be cool, but at the cost of lag from hell in already crowded, laggy spaces.
