This is indeed incorrect. It is looted from the cracked egg, and learned like any other mount.

The egg itself is obtained from the oracles in Sholazar Basin. You must first hit revered reputation with them, and it can then be purchased for just over two and a half gold. The egg hatches after seven days, and this is one of the possible rewards.

3rd egg, and I just got my 2nd proto-drake. I went to open my egg today and there it is, the Reins again (which I got last week) and it says right on the item "Already known".

I got on WoW early Christmas morning and received my cracked egg. I had already gotten the white and brown tick birds the previous weeks, so I expected it to be the lame aged yolk. I right clicked the egg and noticed purple letters. I was in Daralan so I thought someone was linking something you know to sell and such, so I took a closer look. It said I had received Reins of the Green Proto Drake! My heart pounded so hard with excitement I think I almost had a heart attack. I went to the Daralan flight master and quickly hopped on. I've spent countless hours looking for that damn time-lost proto drake, so finding this was basically the best WoW Christmas present ever! Good luck to anyone to gets this or any of the other proto drakes, deff the best mounts in the entire game, and happy holidays!

Oracles have no repeatable quests, and you get 1700 rep per day if you do all the dailies everyday (there are only three, it literally takes minutes). You start off at Honored so it takes only a couple of days' worth of dailies to get to Revered.

Looting the egg RIGHT as it hatches has nothing to do with getting the drake or not.

I'm 0 for 5 so far on eggs shrug. Random low/semi-low "drop" rate. It isn't as high as some think. Know a few people who have one on their mains and an alt. And I know people that are 0 for 3-5 as well. Though I am not a very lucky person with anything in this game anyways =P

Yes, you can get it regardless of your riding skill.

Yes, you can get it at revered, or at exalted, it does not make a difference.

Edit: Just got mine on my 12th egg (on my Death Knight alt), she's barely into revered. It was her first egg.

This Mount definatly makes the oracles worth picking over frenzyhearts early on, since the oracles seem to offer about 5 pets and an epic flying mount it seems great to pick them. better then some beer that turns you into a frenzyheart for 10 minutes.

Yes, it is correct that you have a 2% chance of getting a drake in the first egg that you purchase, but you have to understand the difference between following:

1)Chance of getting it in a singe attempt.
2)Chance of getting it at least once in number of attempts.

More attempts, you take, higher is probability that you will get it at least once. In fact probability that you will get it at least once in 50 attempts is close to 64%.
Though you must understand that it does not mean that your 50th egg will contain the drake for sure, no, it will still have 2% chance of dropping. Statistics does not make difference between 5th and 35th attempt. You just assume that you are going to make 50 attempts, and the probability that you will get it is close to 64%, as i stated it above. You might get it on 3rd try, but that would mean that most likely you won't be getting it again on remaining 47.

Edit: Forgot to mention most important conclusion. Basically that means that if you stay revered or higher with Oracles for a year (~50 weeks), you will get your drake for sure :) so it is not that long.
But personally i would suggest going for Frenzyheart 1st in any way, hit exalted with them, and start grinding Oracle rep. In that way you safely get both Green Proto drake and Mercenary of Sholazar.

One thing to note is the colours of this proto-drake exactly match the background colouring of Sholazar itself. I noticed this as I was riding around when I got my mount.

So, if you are lucky enough to get two of them (I got mine on my third and fifth eggs), then you are pretty much SOL. It's BOP, cannot be disenchanted, and cannot be sold either. I'm petitioning a GM on the vague hope that I might be able to transfer it to another character, but I don't have much hope. I wish I'd gotten yolk this week - that I could have at least sold for a few silver. :(

Based on what ive seen on my server, Gurubashi, and the comments above the best estimated amount of eggs you have to buy until you finally get the lovely green winged terribly beastie would be about...5 to 7 eggs.

So im waiting yet another week for my egg to hatch next Sunday.

I mean the proto drake looks cool but the green flight has always been my favorite, They even got snubbed on having a mount, unlike the other four flights, and indeed albinos even have their own mount, not that there is an albino flight. Opened my first Cracked Egg at 5:18pm (EST), 2-19-2009 and inside was the Green Proto Drake. My egg was ready around 1pm but I wasn't online to open it. I nearly spat milkshake all over my monitor when I opened the egg.

This is a message to everybody.

Don't get discouraged if you don't get a Green Proto Drake on your first couple of eggs. It does take a while due to the fact it's based on pure luck. I recently got mine today after 8 Eggs. When I received it, I was overjoyed and in my opinion I really believe it was worth the wait. Just don't get discouraged and give up guys.

Something good happens always when you least expect it. After opening 4 eggs and getting 3 of the pets (got the cobra twice), I was hoping to get the last pet (Tickbird Hatching) from my egg which hatched just last night. But to my surprise, I got this instead, almost had a heart attack because of it too.

Then I pretty much spent the rest of the night exploring all of northrend on it while my guildies cussing at me the whole time. Good times lol.

Edit: I can definitely confirm that after learning the drake you can still get it from the eggs. I just got the drake again after I got the drake from last week. It's soulbound, learned, and the vendors won't buy it.

At first I picked the Frenzyheart (as a rogue) going for the Azure Strappy Pants, of course, once I hit 80 and began to gear up these became basically useless, now I was stuck with a crappy faction and anger towards the Disgusting Jar, as I wanted that Green Proto Drake. I spent the next 13 days (I had just hit revered) working towards exalted, and also looking for the bright side of choosing Frenzyheart first. I realized that if I wanted the Mercenary of Sholazar achievement I'd have to get exalted with both factions at one point or another...and I figured I'll finish up with them then work my way towards exalted with the Oracles later. The main message of this is: If you want to get the Mercenary of Sholazar achievement and eventually get a Green Proto Drake, I'd advise going frenzyheart first so you only have to grind Oracle rep once.

The green proto-drake is way cooler than any other. The Time-Lost Proto-Drake is pretty cool too but much to hard to get. and 2% is a pretty good percent change, much better than the crappy 1% of the Polar Bear mount. :( Why are all of the awesome mounts the hardest to get... polar bears... green drakes... mammoths....

My egg cracked today after waiting the 7 days, and on my first try to my suprise was the green proto-drake.

In all honesty what i can say is since all proto-drakes period are considered rare and hard to get, you just got to think of it that way.

Some people like myself and others will get the drake on the first hatch, while others may get it many eggs later.

Aside from that I have a question. There was a green proto-drake at Dalaran sitting at the port but it was like dropping green poison from its mouth. Is that some kind of mount special for the proto?

After completing my Glory of the Hero, i was finally the proud owner of a red proto drake. I was thinking: YES, no more eggs, no more TLPD-scanning & no more heroic achievements.
A week after or so i opened an egg on my warrior alt and to my big surprise... yes yes, a green proto! Thinking it could not get better (main a red & alt a green), i opened another egg on my main 2 weeks later right before starting naxx and yet again... green proto. That sets the score to 1 green proto on my warrior and a green & red proto on my main.

So yes, chances are u get one quite fast, even on multiple chars or the same char, but u have to accept u might not see a green proto at all.

To be sure u get a proto, your best shot is completing Glory of the Hero. The achievements itself aren't that bad (except some quite nasty ones), the hard part is finding people with the same interest & ready to consume time with wiping & trying to get the right move.

I think what he was trying to say is that the probability number crunching is a bit pointless. You buy your egg, you wait a week, and regardless of the maths behind it you get a drake or you get something else.
For some people it's the first egg, for some people it might be hundreds. You won't get it any faster or be able to do any more about it because you know the probability, it's just possible each time.

i got mine after cca 4 months (at least), starting the egg buying in january 2009, and after 4 months permanent shoping of the eggs and cca 18 failed "attempts" i got it finaly :)
i alrdy didnt awaited something else as some hatchling or Aged Yolk, the bigger was my euphoria then :D

all who want this mount should keep in mind few things:
-its mostly luck, nothing else
-u cant affect its drop in anyway
-ist epic mount nearly for free so dont await that Blizzard will give you some of such kind of mount as Proto-drake is only so easily (any blaming on Blizzard is silly, you should be glad and thank Blizzard that you can get such mount at all by such primitive way, without any effort put into it - just look at the other Proto-drakes, and what u need to get them ;-) )

I have opened two eggs every week pretty close after Wrath came out (two characters hit 80, one the first week, another the second week after wrath was released)... and I still have no gotten this proto-drake. You would think opening 8 eggs a month (roughly around 35+ eggs to date?), you would get him, but nope. It really is luck... not how many eggs you open.

I don't know what kind of luck you need to have to have it drop twice. My 14th egg is hatching tonight and I haven't even seen it once yet. I met a guy who opened the egg for 12 weeks on 5 chars before getting it on one of them, that means 60 eggs opened.
Yes, you can get it even 10 times, but that assuming you're very lucky.

This drop comes from a Mysterious Egg only. The egg is available for purchase from the Oracle QM in Sholozar Basin for a few gold when your reputation with them is revered or higher. Each egg takes 7 days (168 hours) to hatch before it becomes a Cracked Egg at which point one can open it for a "reward". The Green Proto being is one of 6 rewards that can drop. Only one Mysterious Egg can be held in your inventory at one time. The drake of course has the lowest chance to drop at <1%.

Received mine this morning after opening my 8th Cracked Egg. Record:

Week 1: Proto-Drake Whelp
Week 2: Aged Yolk
Week 3: Proto-Drake Whelp
Week 4: Cobra Hatchling
Week 5: Aged Yolk
Week 6: Cobra Hatchling
Week 7: White Tikibird Hatchling
Week 8: Reins of the Green Proto Drake

Not a bad record since I hear many many people have been trying since the first few weeks of LK's release.

The mount can "drop" more than once for a single character. I've heard of people getting the drop 3 or 4 times. Kinda lame though since you can only learn it once. Destroying mounts..*shudder*

This means ON AVERAGE the mount MAY drop once in 50 runs.
Now let me explain to you. The game does not count how many eggs you have done, so that when you ding egg #50, the mount drops. The count essentially "resets" after each opening, and does not increase the drop rate. So in essence, there is a less than 2% chance of the mount dropping.

I love the people who say "Don't get discouraged, it took me eggs to get mine!" I've been doing this since the middle of December and haven't gotten the drake. Thank god I have the Time-Lost Proto-Drake! And for those of you hunting the TLPD, YES he's much easier to get than waiting for RNG to be on your side!

I think every one of alts including my bank has gotten every little pet. Sold a few of the pets on the AH though, that was a plus.

Here's the factor that you have to put in as well:

All the drops, except this one, aren't bind on pick up. This allows you to either give them to an alternate character or even sell them. So, if you don't get the drake, you can still make some money from selling the pets. The food drop, on the other hand, is a nice food reserve, or even a couple silver. Since I have a very bad habit of not stocking up on food, I'm not always disappointed at seeing the food drop. So when trying for this mount, all I can say is to keep an open, positive mind about what you might get. Good luck to all you mount hunters! : )

No, the only mount currently in the game that fits your level of riding is the dk one, this onerequires artisan riding to use. But not having the apropriate skill to ride it doesn't mean it won't drop. You can still loot it and keep it in your backpack.

Got it, used it and ..ofc happy having it. Now - its only looks and no other improvements like speed or so. your mount will not make much use for u in fights or similars.. so the way i see it its for fun, like a bonus, dont overdo it on getting it, use time on someting that acetually improves your performance...and yes, i would like the hatchling as pet..also for looks

I can confirm that it will drop even if you don't have the riding skill to learn it. I just got one from my third egg. Time to really grind up some gold so I can use it. Oh well, I needed to clean out my bank anyway...

And no, your chance of having it drop do not increase the more eggs you've opened. It is set at 2%. You have a 2% chance on your first one, and a 2% chance on your 100th one. Probability says that after you open so many that the odds are you will have gotten one, but you have to open around 50 eggs (nearly a year's worth of trying) before it enters into the realm of "why don't you have one yet?".

In order to obtain this mount, you must first become Revered with The Oracles, a faction located in Sholazar Basin.
Once you become Revered, you can purchase a Mysterious Egg, which after 7 days becomes a Cracked Egg. This egg, when looted, has a chance to drop one of 4 mini-pets, this mount, or some aged yolk.
The mount has a 2% drop rate.
You can only buy one egg at a time (due to its "Unique" tag), and it takes 7 days to hatch. That means you only have one chance per week to obtain this mount. Hope this was clear and helpful.

Anyway it was like me 6-7th egg. Had stupid yolks and pets from others.

It has a cool animation if you just stand there, it like roars in the sky :].

It's awesome.

If you're a shadow priest, don't expect to admire this well-colored mount. When in shadowform, the entire mount turns pitch-black, except for the wings, which remain blue, although much darker. Also, unlike many other mounts, this proto-drake does not become transparent, save for the small bit of fur by the face, and the place the rider sits.

Perhaps I can make someone else feel better. My druid has been opening eggs since Jan, my lock since Feb. Both have been doing the Brunnhildar daily for the Polar Bear mount. I figure I have opened 45 eggs and gotten ~250 Hildnir Spoils. No mount of any kind. My wife got the drake on two characters on the 3rd try for each, and also has the Polar Bear. Can't convince me this is not partially bugged.

Blizzard added a mount special to all of the proto-drakes in patch 3.1 (?) <-- Correct me if I am wrong.

Also, this mount is one of the rewards from the Mysterious Egg, which hatches after one week (7 days) after purchasing it from the Oracles in Sholazar Basin. Once a week has gone by, it'll reappear in your bag as a "cracked egg."

Note: you must achieve revered status with the Oracles if you want to get the egg!

OK so here is it. Your drop chance DOES NOT increase by amount of eggs you opened!
Open 1st egg - 2% chance.
Open 2nd egg - ~~4% chance~~ its still 2% chance to get drake.
So you can open 9999999 eggs but its possibly stilll to dont have drake.

I'm pretty happy, got my Proto-drake 4th egg. All the drop rates and how likely you are to get it that people have written are a bit stupid. You could buy 5 eggs and get it every time.

Bought eggs for months never getting anything but lame pets (mostly that stupid cobra), then after taking a long break from wow I logged in to find "Your egg has cracked" in chat. Then today, there it was my first proto. Too bad it's only good for four more days. I only need a few brewfest quests to get the 310 speed proto.

Everyone is quick to mention that you have a 2% chance of getting this to drop every time you open an egg, no matter how many times you do it, and that your chances never change. This is not completely true, and it's due to the difference between experimental probability and theoretical probability, and the fact that the more times an experiment is repeated, the closer these two probabilities come to being the same odds.

The probability is set so that you have a 1 in 50 chance of getting this drake when you open an egg. That is completely true. However, what is also completely true is that the more times this experiment is repeated, the closer the resulting data comes to representing that 1 in 50 chance. In other words, if it was done 100 times, it's not terribly likely you will get exactly 2 drakes by the time you hit 100. Your resulting experimental probability might show odds of 1/100 or even 5/100 if you're lucky. If it was done 100,000 times, it's quite likely you would get 2,000 drakes, or very close to it. The more times the dice are tossed, basically, the better the chance of the statistics playing out to the numbers that are set (in this case, 1 in 50, which is the theoretical probability) for it.

A very simple example of this is tossing a coin. We all know the odds of getting the heads side to show is 1 in 2 (assuming all things are equal, I'm not sure if the raised head on one side makes it weigh more and changes the odds but you know what I'm saying). If you tossed the coin twice it's pretty likely you could get tails both times or heads both times, or one of each. If you tossed the coin 500 times, it's going to be a lot closer to half the time that you get heads, which is the set probability of getting heads on a coin toss.

This concept of the odds averaging out to where they are supposed to be was done mathematically much further up the page and mentioned sporadically throughout, but it hadn't been mentioned in a while and I think it's important to know. It boils down to your chances of success getting better the more you repeat the experiment; but there is never a guarantee point no matter how many times you do it. The odds of you not getting a drake after a certain ridiculously high number of eggs opened is extremely low, not because the odds of the drake (1 in 50) have changed, but because the chances of the event being one or the other a certain number of times in a row, once it's FAR past 50 eggs opened, is ridiculously low.

Edit: To the replies, yes, the odds are still 1 in 50 no matter how many times you open an egg, this is correct. But as 5noman pointed out, the odds of flipping a coin with a 50% chance of being heads 20 times in a row and having it land heads every time is "1 in 2,097,152". So if you've flipped a coin 19 times and it's been heads 19 times, while the odds of it being heads on ANY flip is 1 in 2, the odds of it being heads 20 times in a row is that 1 in 2,097,152. And without doing the math, the same applies to the drake from the egg. Yeah it's 1 in 50 no matter how many times you crack one open, but the odds of it being tails, or no drake, a certain number of times IN A ROW past 50 becomes increasingly unlikely just like the coin toss. There's two different sets of odds here, the odds on each egg individually, and then the odds of a certain outcome a certain number of times in a row. If you read the section on the Gambler's Fallacy as linked below, it explains this far better than I can, explaining while each coin toss is 1 in 2, the odds of it being heads just THREE times in a row falls to 1 in 8, and continues to go up. "Law of Independent Trials" is absolutely true, so is the "Gambler's Fallacy", of course, we're just talking about 2 different sets of mathematical probabilities here.

By having lots of players, including me, in my guild transfer 4 of themselves over to the ptr and open their eggs on live as well. We managed to open up a total of 104 eggs, and here are the statistics of what we got.

Bud, please learn to do your math. You can run heroic Utgarde Pinnacle once a day, while you can get the egg once a week. Let's do the math here. In the SEVEN runs of Utgarde Pinnacle a week, you have a 7/35 chance of getting this mount. Now, in the SINGLE week that you obtain the egg, you have chance of getting it equivalent to 1/50.
Perhaps you should rethink your theory.

Got it from my first egg. was happy as hell, when i saw the purple letters.
I know some people are gonna downrate this because it "isnt useful information" but i disagree. When people tell how many eggs they had to open before they got the drake, it gives other people hoping to get this, and idea about the AVERAGE amount of eggs they need to open in order to get it. If they see alot of people posting that they got it within like 10 eggs, then they think, oh well, then MOST LIKELY i dont have to open 200 eggs before i see the mount drop, and that gives motivation to try getting it. Atleast it does for me.

You math people drive me nuts. It is a video game. I went into the Oracle rep. grind with the idea that i was going to play the lottery with the drake. 2 eggs later, I won! If you view it as playing the lottery, you don't get wrapped up in the numbers and it is much more fun. BTW, if you are a BM hunter and you eat one of these: Hallow's End Pumpkin Treat and get the "You feel larger... and oranger..." buff, go Bestial Wrath, then get on the drake and you are HUGE and red for a few seconds. I'll try to load a couple of screenshots to show you all.

It's funny how things work out sometimes...

Been buying this egg almost every week since soon after Wrath on my main but only seen tickbirds and aged yoke. Decided to build up my alts rep with the Oracles and buy the egg, and a week later guess whats in the first one? The sad thing is he doesn't even have his epic flyer so it gets to sit in my bags for now...

i actually didnt try for this for that long, i actually switched over to the wolvar for a little while just to be able to turn into a wolvar myself if i got the jar thing, and i just figured i would go for the violet proto drake

instead of waiting until next october, im getting my rep back with the oracles and trying for this again

my story is a perfect example of why u should never just give up on it, cause now im screwed on easy alternatives for a cool proto drake for another year, so if i wanna get a proto drake easily, this is my only alternative

then of course there is the blue proto drake, but i personally dont like that one, and plus u still gotta roll against 4 other people for it

and then there is the semi-easy red proto drake, but i hate running heroics now-a-days, so... blah =P

then there is the ulduar drakes, but im not a main-stream pve'er, so my chances of getting those are slim to none

so far, all the proto drakes u can get are as follows:
Green (this) (easy to get revered, just a low drop rate)
Red (Heroics) (semi-easy, depends on the groups u get in)
Blue (H UP) (easy, but u gotta roll on it with other people)
Violet (all the world event title acheivements) (semi-easy, just really long and time consuming)
the 2 from ulduar (10 or 25) (not easy)
Time-lost (drops from a rare in storm peaks) (not easy)
the 2 old ones from naxx (10 or 25, but no longer obtainable) (wasnt easy)

if i missed any, somebody please say so

so yeah, pretty much the only 4 cool flying mounts i have are the sunreaver dragonhawk, the albino drake, the argent hippogryph, and i guess the bronze drake is pretty cool too, kinda =P

but even if i dont get a proto drake any time soon, im good with my hippogrpyh, dragonhawk and albino drake =)

especially the albino one, theres an accomplishment for ya, not everybody can easily get 50 mounts

What you describe as "experimental probability" is, in fact, statistics. There's no such thing as "probability, looking back". Once it's happened it's a statistic, a fact.

You're mixing up a whole bunch of concepts here. When you're saying that (paraphrasing here) the more experiments you do, the closer the results are going to be to the probability involved, you're not describing what's happening here. What you're describing is that when you're throwing a dice, the percentage of sixes thrown is going to be closer to 16,166666667% when you throw it 10000 times than when you throw it 100 times. That's not the effect that's at play here.

You're mixing this up with the concept of ensembles. What that means is this: The more people you observe opening an egg, the closer you're going to get to 2% of people getting a drake. If 100 people open up an egg (in a single week, mind), you can have 0 drakes, or 6 drakes, or some other number. This means that the observed drop rate in a single week would be 0%, or 6% accordingly. However, if you watch 1,000,000 people open an egg, chances are the percentage of people getting a drake is going to be much closer to 2%. Certainly not 6% if the actual drop rate is 2%.

Now, none of this is relevant to a single person trying to get the drake. The only thing that's relevant is that EVERY SINGLE TIME HE OPENS THE EGG, THERE'S A 2% CHANCE HE'S GOING TO GET A DRAKE. Period. "Hang in there, it's bound to happen" means as much to the person opening up their first egg, as it does to the person opening up their 1000th.

The maths kinda looked correct and very intellectual, but fails right from the start. Maybe cause it's chance-calculation and no real math but just as usefull as letting the stars predict when to buy one of the eggs.
2% droprate means 1 every 50 eggs. But it's serverwide. If with 500 people an egg hatches, 10 get it, 490 don't.
The next week you get the same 'competition' since it can still drop with those who already have one. Maybe some will quit, maybe a lot will join, but that won't make a difference, since with lesser people lesser drops and more people more drops. 50 people 1 drop, 50,000 people 1,000 drops.
So like said the droprate will still be 2% with every egg you buy.
Some will get it several times, while others may even take longer then 1 year. If you would be the only one on your server getting the eggs you should have to get it within 50 eggs. But since most of us probably aren't, it's hard to really calculate when it will drop. So good luck, I guess that's the only thing you need.

Woohoo I just got mine today. When i first read that icantswim got his on his 3rd egg i was like yeah baby im gonna get mine too on the first few eggs. Six months later =( yes six months later and after countless aged yolks. I got the famous "egg cracked" message while I was in Warsong Gulch.

I opened it up and saw the proto picture and thought to myself, great another red proto pet, then i hovered my mouse over it, it was like i had woken up from a looooong deep sleep and and my eyes were blurry. I focused on the purple message very hard. "Reins of the Green Proto-Drake" woohoo, after 6 months finally i got it. I was so happy and lost track of guarding the Flag Carrier, needless to say, he died and so did I. The FC wasn't too happy, but I was =D

Today during Putricide attempts, our off-tank DC'd just before the pull. We were sitting around for a few minutes waiting for him to come back, and just to pass the time I decided to look through my bags and sort out the mass of gear I have. I saw my egg had hatched. There is a superstition in our guild that the drake is more likely to appear if you open the egg in a raid. So i clicked to open and was VERY surprised to see these reins appear.

The rest of my guild was shocked. "... what the hell are you serious?" was the first thing said on vent after about a minute of silence. "Ok, enough luck for you today, you automatically forfeit all loot"
Unfortunately I wasn't lucky enough to have the Unidentifiable Organ drop, but I was pretty stoked with this all the same!

To annoy a few people i managed to pick mine up on my first egg aswell after giving up looking the Time-Lost proto (perfect name for it!).

However, i don't know if i'm one of the only people who actually dislikes the mount? Anyone else not like the animations/size? Bit annoying after i really wanted one and once i got it only used it for a couple of hours! Having said that i barely spent anytime getting one unlike some other unlucky sods so alls not too bad!

I transferred my character from Horde to ALliance and I think it has screwed up my chances at this somehow.
I am 80 and cant figure out how to get in good wtih the oracles. I am hated by the other faction, but the oracles wont show me any quests. I completed Sholazar as my Horde. Now as Alliance I cant find ANY quests there at all.

In other zones, i have to redo some quests, from the other side, but in Sholazar, nothing and I cant get to the Oracles. What can I do, I want the green drake.

Any help? Thanks

So, I was trying to get this mount forever, but haven't had any luck. Then I deactivated my wow account because of school and stop thinking about it. Yesterday, however, I had 6 hours of waiting at the airport on my way from college, and since I had free WiFi, I thought of play some wow. I logged in, and saw my cracked egg, and clicked. And I saw the purple letters. I thought I was probably having a microsleep, due to my severe sleep deprivation, but after I asked the guy next to me to confirm I am not asleep, I made a leap of joy, got the attention of the whole waiting room, and probably looked like a hopeless nerd - but yes, I finally got the green flapper :)

Just need revered with the Oracles and you're good to go. Can only have one Mysterious Egg in your inventory at a time, and it takes a week to hatch... not sure what to odds are on this guy.

You can only get this from the mysterious egg, bought from the Oracles' quartermaster at Revered. This is kind of a "my first proto-drake," unless you pick Frenzyhearts like me and are a perfectionist and have to get exalted with them before you work on Oracles LOL. I know some people who have been working for a while to try and get this, so I made them a drop rate simulator to let them see how many eggs they might go through to get this. The huge hindlegs (should) move the center of mass more behind, but the rotation point is way too forward. This makes the flight feel very unnatural.
