This kind of item is new in Wrath of the Lich King, a Heirloom Item, what is currently known about Heirloom Items(Bind to Account)
Purchasable via dungeon tokens (similar to Badges of Justice)
Can be transferred to characters on your account (ie cannot be traded)
Only transferable to characters on the same realm
Items scale with level (see inset picture)
Scaling will make the item equivalent to a blue item of the characters level
Heirloom armor will transform based on the character who wears it. Therefore, a level 80 plate piece can be worn by a level 1-39 character who wears mail, but gains the ability to wear plate at level 40.
Erm... there's a reason why they chose that model: identical to the original Truesilver Champion.
Odd, this is the only sword at level 80 I think I'll use. Everything else looks retarded =P
I'm no RP'er, but I still refuse to use weapons that look like
is this item bought with wintergrasp marks?
Does it gain the special effect of the weapon it suppose to look like?
Such a shame that it cannot be rune-forged.
It would have been a great entry-level pvp weapon for a DK.
This would make a great twink wep
who agree's with me
Is it possible to send this to your opposite faction characters? Like if I'm on the alliance and send it to one of my Horde characters, will I be able to send it?
itself before reforging
, new version has been made heavier, which led to slower, but more powerful swings.
Resilience bonus (almost 1%) is also nice.
Gonna check if I can attach
to it. Should be possible, considering that it's very basic enchant. (Confirmed - it works, and works great, on lower levels especially)
Why does this thing have more Strength and Less Stam than the Bloodied Arcanite Reaper you would think for a PVP weapon it would have more Stam and less Strength than the Arcanite Reaper.
I mean for the BoA Valor shoulder compared to the BoA Stockade Pauldrons the Valor ones have more Strength and Less HP now that makes sense
Ok here's a queston (apologise if its been answered somewhere, i've searched and not seen). Say i get one of these via my level 80 warrior, and post it to my newly made level 1 paladin. Does the weapon then become soulbound to the level 1 pally? Or could i then post it to a new level 1 once my pally found a better weapon?
I've been able to use some old world enchants on it. Crusader fights this weapon nicely. Especially those levels from about 40-58, very nice proc rates. Seems to proc roughly every 10 swings.
Does this mean that lets say I give it to a character at level 30, for every level after that the sword will adjust to my level? Basically saying I can use it all the way up to 60 and it will keep changing to fit me?
Got this for my Pally and Warrior, very very awesome 1shotting mobs from lv1-20ish
also put crusader on it which seems to proc when i need it most ;P
I believe this is the list of
you can apply to this weapon.
and use it on other realm as well.
The only way to do this, is to transfer a character. You cannot send between realms.
Does this show weapon enchants?
DKs just a FYI u can't Runeforge these wepons!
For those of you shopping for heirloom weapons you can use to level more than one class, please note that
Bloodied Arcanite Reaper
can also be equipped by Shaman, but the
Reforged Truesilver Champion
This sword is great if you're making a paladin or a warrior. I highly recommend getting Crusader on it if you plan to level solo most of the time.
Anyone else think its suspicious that the screenshot shows a Blood Elf Dual Wielding these 2H weapons? Since when could Blood Elves become warriors?
What is the best enchant to put on this for a pally after level 60?
Edit: after some research it looks like at level 70+, the +15 Strength enchant will be the best choice (+25 Agi = 1.8 dps, +15 Str = 2.1 dps, +9 Weapon Dmg = 1.3 dps)
Tell me how the hell is that pally in the picture duel wielding a 2h-weap, he cant be a warrior since he is a blood elf :S
I was wondering do the Exp gains stack if you use this with other heirloom items? Because it seems if that's the case then you put could on a whole set and with rested bonus, you could level extremely fast.
very nice weapon for leveling. but there's just 1 thing, i'm a bit curious about... if you all have seen the posted screenshot, it shows a
blood elf dual-wielding
2 of these... fury warriors have
, which makes them able to dual-wield 2 2h maces/swords/axes, but, blood elves can't be warriors, so, no dual-wielding 2h weapons for us, fellow blood elves.
Edit: this had already been posted, but it won't make me delete this :P
p.s i totally agree with you, mutewak & aatifsayeed
Can anyone tell me why the screen shot is of (what appears to be) a belf DW'ing these 2h's?\
Edit: posted several times already. Apparently I fail at reading, or creating a new account shows you new posts.
erm just a image bug does it say that it gives 343 sp?...... but other than that sick weapon for lil effort is sicker :P
I recently purchased this sword for my level 60 Paladin, and have been leveling with it. I'm 500k experience away from Northrend, and I'm very surprised with the damage increase with every level. Each level gave me another substantial advantage in PvP. (I also added the +3 Weapon Damage enchant, and it glows an awesome blue)
May I also add, this would be a great weapon to start at level 1 with. (Obviously, that's the point of a heirloom item, but I've found that many people buy these because they can't seem to find gear upgrades for their alts that aren't ridiculously hard to obtain.)
I would say that this item is
powerful at level one, and will make the first ten levels fly by with ease. Another great advantage of Bind on Account items is the fact that they can't lose their durability. From level 1 to 80, I can tell you that this will save you a substantial amount of gold in repairs,
if you have more than one heirloom item equipped.
fans out there, this is
answer to having a beautiful two-handed sword that you can wield faithfully all the way from 1 to 80. And as icing on the cake for us Humans, one of our racial abilities grants us expertise skill! And, for those special warriors out there who want to model themselves as
, the sword is not unique-equipped, allowing you to wield a pair of them!
PvP equivalent of
Bloodied Arcanite Reaper
If you look at the picture, you can see a blood elf dual wielding it.
DWing a 2hander, titan's grip only, but BE warrs shouldn't be here until Cata..
EDIT: ...damn you
how come the blood elf in the screenshot dual wields it?
So as of today: Halloween 2009, can we runeforge this bad boy for a DK? If not I'll pass... Thx
Can the Reforged Truesilver Champion be dual wielded with Bloodied Arcanite Reaper?
Worse than the Bloodied Arcanite Reaper, but not by much. Also much easier to obtain, depending on how good your faction is at Wintergrasp.
Currently have a warrior using this in the offhand, TG with the Reaper. The slightly faster speed and extra strength work out nicely.
I think you can put certain runes on it. I sent one over to my DK and tired to stick Cinderglacier, Lichbane, Razorice, and Spellshattering on it. (Spellbreaking gave me the "not a valid target" error.) All four gave me the enchanting castbar, but I prevented them from going through, as I don't know if I'll still be able to trade it to my Paladin (who needs it more!) with a rune on it. I'm a bit of a coward like that.
If anyone is brave enough to risk it, please post your results, 'cause I really don't wanna accidentally bind it to her yet. :D
The screenshot's on a private server. The ground that the elf is standing on is Programmer Isle and it's most likely a blood elf with a command-learned Titan's Grip.
The More You Know!
The screen shot with the blood elf dual weilding this weapon is a bit decieving, but I think it is a PTR character testing out the blood elf warrior combination for Cataclysm.
Edit: Whoops the previous comment explianed the screen shot.
if i was to use this on a fury warr, who has TG, could i DW these if i had 2 of them?
thats exactly what it means buddy
