The only fight I am aware of right now where Druids are at a sever disadvantage is Maexxna ( sp? ) in the spider wing of Naxx 25. That is only because most of their damage is mitigated by dodging, and when she web wraps during an enrage they get eaten alive moreso than any other tank.

That is the only time I can think of where I would swap out our feral tank who has been tanking for us since before AQ 20 opened, and Molten Core was 'hard'.

Get off the Death Knight/Warrior bandwagon people.

PS: Death Knights are for people who suck at real classes.

Blizzard has changed itemization so that multiple classes share the same pieces of gear in an attempt to reduce the size of loot tables. Feral druids and rogues pretty much share everything (except weapons). This is the way of the world now, get over it.

Even "feral" staves are no longer just for ferals (in the next patch at least).

These are currently considered the second best feral tanking leggings in game due simply to strong Stamina weightings which I agree with for the most part with 10 Stamina over Valorous and 3 under Deadly. But, If you are into secondary stats then Valorous has it all, Crit, Exp and AP. These have Haste which is bad for tanking as it increases your white swings and thus your chance to be parried over time, the very antithesis of expertise.

Deadly has the most stamina at 115 over these at 112 and Valorous at 102. Valorous has the most agility, 85 and Deadly has 84.

All in all you are comparing hit to crit because the core stats are very clear. Min/Max ing Deadly is the clear winner with Crit, but also the highest Stam and 1 point away from the highest Agi.

Any Druid able to actually get these will be stacking Stam, wont want anymore Haste than what has been forced upon him, will be past the Dodge hump with Expertise and in my experience will have all around great rage and threat generation so the hit and AP are of no consideration especially considering the crit provided by Valorous and Deadly.

These simply have secondary stats we don't want or need, less Agility, second best Stam and a lil more AC.

Deadly has the core Min/Max Stam and AGI covered and Valorous has the secondary stats to carry its good but below best Stam, but highest AGI, over the finish line and is overall pretty well rounded.

I came into this post with these at the top of my list, but after looking over things, these are not that great. Pass to the rogues. Save your DKP and get one of the legs that are easier to come by.

I am a rogue and I feel these are better for a druid due to the fact that no one will see that the druid is wearing a flaming pair of cut-offs. Come on with the leather leg designs Blizzard! lol

What the above person does not realize is that these pants are best in slot for druids and rogues, but the DPS increase is better for rogues, i got these over our cat druid in raid, and he asked why i needed, and i told him that they are best in slot, he said "Just because they are best in slot doesn't mean you need to take them". well yeah it does, the dps you gain from these over Valorous Bonescythe Legplates, is about 120, ungemed if you gem to your strengths (depending on mutilate or combat) you can easily bump that up another 100-200.

If you do not take these as a rogue you can't really optimize your dps output, what i noticed was most people who haven't downed 1/2/3 drake sarth is, they bash the loot, due to the fact that they won't ever get there...

You sound, and your character looks bad. Amazing gems, great enchants and probably have a horrible spec.

Did you know that you could have gotten the socket bonus on your belt if you actually had a brain? You put a red where your blue was supposed to be and then you put a blue where any color gem could have been, thats just confusing. You don't even have a meta gem, so you don't need a blue gem. You've also got cool helm and shoulder enchants.

Your guildie was right, just because they are best in socket doesn't mean you should take them. You can look at this many different ways, one way is they might have been a bigger upgrade for them, and maybe you should look into getting your 4piece instead of hording loot such as the best in slot chest/legs. You're retarded, your guild is fail, and just overall you're pretty stupid.

You know it's funny how tanks (in this case bears) think it's hard to keep aggro in WOTLK. I can think of one fight where maybe aggro is a problem (Malygos). Perhaps Thaddius also, but there the tank does about 120% more damage too.

I don't know about future content, but for now tanks can sleep at the keyboard and still keep threat. So don't say you deserve to get an item because of pure dps stats (AP and Haste in this case).

Every stat and socket (except agility -16) on these legs beats the hell out of the Valorous ones for Rogues. And considering that T7.5 for druid tanks is similar to these ones, the legs should go to a rogue.

I don't know about kitty dps because frankly I haven't seen a cat dps yet (I'am talking about a pure cat dps whole-run, not a tank changing gear for certain boss fights).

The thing about these pants is whether 4 x Tier 7 plus these is better than 4 x Tier 7 plus Chestguard of the Recluse (or the Tunic of Indulgence for those needing more hit & crit) DPS setup for a Cat druid... I already have the two chests and I am thinking if I should get the Tier 7 and wait for the pants or replacing my Tier 7 chest with one of them.

The problem is that the Tier 7 chest is pretty close compared to the other two, while the Leggings of the Honored are by far the best DPS piece, much better than the Tier 7 pants.

Any suggestions?

Also BOS for survival hunters ......as are frosted adroit handguards. Before all the druids and rogues emo out and say "but its leather," recall the leather leggs in Funwell that were the BOS for all physical dps classes. We actually had a rogue that g-quit over those when they went to hunter. Oh well. As far as how they compare for hunters to the 2nd bos, they are a 64.12 dps upgrade over the Leggings of Failed Escape. (frosted adriot handguards are a 55.83 dps upgrade over gloves of calculated risk)

As a kitty druid, I am freaking hit starved. Full buffed, in primarily naxx gear, hit rate food, and even a draenei in the group, I'm at 7% out of the 9% for hit cap. Luckily, I'm running Sarth25+2 this upcoming monday, so this could have a chance at dropping. :D Wish me luck.

Omen Procs:
For the optimum amount of omen procs, druids will need the hit cap, and can live with any extra haste from socket bonuses, gear that we got for other reason, etc. I get around 1 proc every 10 seconds in cat form, with around a .9 attack speed, with 7% hit. Thats around 11 hits in 10 seconds, and every 50ish hits, I miss, so its around 5 or so procs per minute, unless I get a luck streak. If WF totem is down, or a DK has the frost talent for increased haste, I hit around 13-14 hits per 10 seconds, which is around 6 procs per minute, pushing 7, so haste is a great stat for druids to just have there. If you see that a piece of gear is PRIMARILY haste, some stam/agil, crit, and some AP, then pass. If it has a nice amount of AP, Agil, Stam, sockets, hit, etc,go for it, even if it has a boatload of haste along with it. As long as its an overall upgrade with the other stats, roll on it, and hope for the best. However, if the stats are suffering from your current piece, and the primary upgrade is haste, pass it. Even if its epic, and your wearing a blue, dont go crazy epic fever on us, and decide you need the epic because its purpleish.
