While the most interesting part of the endless potions is obviously in arena's they are also a new way of reducing downtime, since you can use them while grinding with no regard for cost.

This item's icon is somewhat remeniscent of a Klein Bottle, a bottle-like shape, with no distinct inner and outer sides, hence the "endlessness".

What would make this (and the health version of it) potion very interesting would be if it would ignore potion sickness. "So small you can even drink it while being potion sick" for example. Just wishful thinking I guess.

Otherwise like Doubleb said mostly just for reducing downtime and a boost in arenas.

Notice the disparity in mana given vs the healing potion's health restoration. I guess they don't want these things to be good for healers. So they end up being good for nobody.

I was wondering why would anyone create this while they can create Endless Rejuvenation Potion with merely 2 stacks more health potions? Replenish both health and mana, same cooldown time (shared also), and even lower skill required to create (410 vs 415).

Either way the rejuvination potion or this one, why bother? The mana u gain isn't really enough for nething. Given the 3 min cooldown. Meh I'd rather something else, either a straight up mana potion or the mana potion injector.

the amount of mana gained threw this is a very small amount compared to the regular potion, which grants 4k mana (consumable). Also the healing version of this heals 2000 and the runic heals 4k as well. Honestly, these should be used as a back up potion, or just use them when you don't want to waste your more precious healing potions. *if i would get a endless potion i would take rejuvenation (I'm a mage)

I'm guessing that https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=13503 (and all other similar trinkets) would give the 400-600 mana per use a 40% boost but have not heard anyone confirm.

Though I think this is a great potion, it would seem that outside of instance DPS/Healing this has no use compared to the Endless Healing Potion.

Though I'd really like to know if anyone has found out if this shares cooldowns with other potions or the Endless Healing Potion? And if it does does it activate the Potion Sickness effect? (only able to use one potion per battle)

Consider that an Alchemist may be using their trinket, so that means this mana potion will restore 560-840 mana at no cost after crafting this.

Note that you can only use one potion per encounter in PvE, so if you are really in need of mana you want to use the Runic Mana Potion.

the low amount of mana plus a 3 min cooldown blows, but its one of those spam things during grinding and you'll probably have an alchemist stone since both req. 400 alchemy for northrend ones. personally, i think it shouldn't share a cooldown with other mana potions in combat (ie give alchemists a "free" extra potion per fight)

i plan to make one more for skillups than for long term practical use... the hp one as well, but it's a good deal handier imo.

update: triggers 3 minute cooldown on any potion. have not tested in combat though.

In PvE it shares combat cooldowns with normal potions. So you cant use a Runic mana potion, then 2 minutes into the same battle use this little puppy.

It is nice even though it gives so little mana. Considering how many mana pots a caster may go though along with those cost can be pricey. This is a potion for the cheap and the broke. It DOES share cooldowns will all other pots. The only thing that annoys me is that it sets off a 3 minute Global CD on all pots vs the 1 min on regular pots. This is the PvE pot preference while endless health, the PvP.

assuming an alchemist's stone, this would be between 15-23 mp5 without taking up an item slot (if you are grinding or in some situation you wouldn't use normal potions, and use it every time it's up and always need the mana)

(of course, during a serious combat encounter, you would use normal runic potions, and this would be valueless)

As of 3.0.3, this recipe for this potion requires alchemy level 410 to learn, not 415.

There is a typo error, its name was Useless Mana Potion.
At level 80, 22k mana, arena or not 600 mana doesn't worth a single spell.

This ends up averaging 13.89 mp5, which is pretty amazing for arenas. About the same item budget as 40 spell power or 70 attack power. That's better than being a JC with 3 dragon's eyes (about 27 spell dmg equiv advantage) or Enchanter (38 spell dmg equiv advantage) and all at a tiny fraction of the cost. And you don't have to respend that gold every time you get an upgrade.

If it gave any more mana, it would become so OP that every healer MUST be an alchemist to be competitive in arenas.

As at ret pally, the fact that it is a small amt of mana isn't that important since my spells are a percentage of my max mana which is about 5500. So it's just enough to get a judgement off or another spell. So I recommend it for other retribution paladins.

Just wish they would create a second potion like this, one that won't work in arena's but provides a much larger boost to mana as this potion is almost useless for PvE. Maybe even do the same for the Endless Health Potion, although to be honest I think that one is good in PvE.

The cooldown on this potion starts when you get out of combat, so if you can escape your attackers for about 5 seconds in PVP, the cooldown timer will start ticking down, so you can use it more than once in an arena match. Confirmed yesterday- popped it 3 times in one arena

This and Dark Rune are the 2 only usable items to get mana during the fight against General vezax in Ulduar. makes the hardmode abit easier(enough for a penance, or a shield as disc priest).

With the upcoming profession changes:

Endless Healing Potion and Endless Mana Potion no longer usable in arenas. Amount of health and mana has been increased, and the cooldown reduced. They are still usable everywhere else.

This newly buffed no-arena potion is great for both grinding and trash pulls. Running out of mana if you chain chug these is quite hard. Since you'll be out of combat very frequently in these occasions, you can nearly use it every minute. This single item sitting in your bags can give you a whopping 5*((1800+3000)/2)/60 = 200 MP5. If you're using an Alchemist's Stone, it's even 280 MP5. Being in combat as it comes off CD will of coarse lower these values a little, but you can still expect some serious mana returns from this item.

Due to its short CD, you also don't have to worry about not having your potion CD ready for your Crazy Alchemist's Potion during boss fights, because at most 1 minute into the fight the CD will be up (assuming you don't use endless potions during difficult boss fights).

For any new alchemists who might not see the benefits of this...

Since it is never consumed, you can use it every cooldown for no cost.
You can significantly reduce downtime in Instances or Solo by using this every cooldown. Not to mention the gold saved on water, since you won't have to drink as often.
This is the ONLY mana potion that can be used in Arenas.

While you shouldn't use this to replace Runic Mana Potions on fights where the extra mana is needed, it is nice when using a Runic Mana Potion would be silly because of the cost to make.

Both this and the Endless Healing Potion can be crafted and used by a level 65 or higher character. If you can figure out a way to get to 400 Alchemy at that level, you can pretty much eliminate the need to carry water around while questing.

This ends up being godly for pally tanks. With our small small mana pool as you get higher gear and end up mana starved in low dmg roic trash fights. 1/min you get most of your mana pool back. <3

Very useful in raids, I personally love not having to buy runic mana pots and waste money. Worth the time and effort to make, never runs out, I promise.
