By FAR one of the better mage glyphs i have looked into, I mean, this has NO negatives, other than no use of molten armor, i mean, it makes Arcane spec viable in longer fights, or hybrid specs more viable. I personally look forward to arc spec getting better.

I think it's bugged now. I've bought this glyph and on mine action bar Mage Armor guaranteed 50% of mana regeneration, but when I pop-up this Armor, on buffs I still have 30% as before buying this glyph.

you can have only one of this glyph in your glyph book at a time.. no 100% mana regen while casting :(

also having this trinket can also be useful

The "while casting" refers to the 5 second rule - 5 seconds after casting a spell, you stop regenerating mana, unless you have mp5 in your gear or the apropriate talents/spells on you.

So yes. It does help you with instants.

This is a great glyph for grinding, but to really benefit from it you'll have to stack spirit and that's not a stat you want to go for. The replenishment buff you'll frequently have present scales with max manapool or in other words intellect which also provides crit. You should be able to do without mage armor with the current cookiecutter frostfire build and all the replenishment effects that are going around. In any case, spirit is not a good stat to stack.

This is worth it for Arcane Mages, and at a certain level of Spirit, I belive Mage Armor can give you even more mana than you can waste in a Frostbolt spec, since it is the cheaper rotation a mage has. I'm quite sure of this, but it's not that Frostmages have mana probs anyway.

With Mage armor and the fire/ arcane talent, i have 100% mana reg while casting. This after 3.1. I think that this will give 120% while cating and 100% while ur not :)

As of 3.1, Mage Armor gives you 50% of your out-of-the-five-second-rule (spirit-based) mana regeneration while casting.

Arcane Meditation and Pyromaniac now give you 17/33/50% mana regen while casting, and this glyph gives 20% extra regen to the Mage Armor spell.

This means that, by going 18 points into the Arcane tree or 33 points into the Fire tree, one can now achieve 100% mana regeneration while casting using Mage Armor, without glyphing the spell. With more than 2/3 points in either talent and the glyph, there is 3/20% extra regen, which is wasted, as while-casting mana regeneration cannot exceed 100%.

This is still useful glyph for mages leveling with frost build but only for limited amount of levels. Starting from 34 up to 50 where many people opt to go for Glyph of Water Elemental. So it has some use but it really needs a buff (change) considering it becomes useless at higher levels as people above already pointed out.
