One point to note is that the Arcane strike can miss (about 8-9%, I'll run some longer test sequences to confirm a more accurate figure), and is seemingly un-effected by both Hit Rating and by talents.

This means that if you are hit capped, you will still see misses in your combat logs and damage meters while using this trinket.

For example on KT fight right after I got it:
- non-crits for 2620 avg.
- crits for 3870 avg.

There seems to be a change of sounds with patch 3.0.8. The sound of a warrior's charge is now heard when this trinket procs. I don't know if this is intended or not. Pre 3.0.8 you could hear the sound of a mage's fireblast when the trinket procced.

As a Survival Hunter running Naxx 25 (3 quarters), this trinket was responsible for 1.9% of my total damage from the arcane damage alone. Not sure if wearing Loatheb's Shadow would have given me the same increase due to the extra crit.

This thing hit for 2998 for me. That is 1.33 x max dmg.
It also crit for 4738 for me. That is 2.1 x max dmg.

13% extra damage comes from Ebon Plague. Can anyone figure this out?

I'm guessing you had the following buffs.

Blood Presence: +15% increased damage
Bone Armor: +2% increased damage
Ebon Plague: +13% spell damage

All those together should give about +32.549% increased damage.
A spell crit (150% damage) with those buffs would be about 198.823% damage which seems inline with your results.

this feels like a crappily designed trinket for ilevel 213. if the arcane attacks really need a hit cap that goes with spells, u are lookin at a dps downgrade for someone like SV hunter. i've been tryin insignia, mirror of truth and insicor fragment and funnily enuf insicor fragment seems to be on top after armor pen got buffed in 3.1.

am i the only one here whom thinks this trinket is really bad :S
i mean the 15% proc chance is quite good but 45 sek CD ?
i mean come on... an average boss fight takes about 10 min. and keeping in mind its not gonna proc as soon as the CD is off lets say its a 1 proc pr min.
(1504+2256)/2=1880*10=18800
if i as a survival hunter gets explosive shot of that crits on the dots i would only have to fire 2 shots to do that damage.
id rather have a trinket with a use to increase my AP or even better get the "Fury of the Five Flights" from sarth

For Unholy and Frost, this trinket has been theorycrafted to death and has been proven to be Best-in-Slot through Ulduar (with Darkmoon Card: Greatness). For Blood, Mjolnir Runestone is obviously the better choice.

Both of these choices are assuming you're hit/expertise capped.

Put this in top 3 for feral druid dps is really confuse for me, if you have around 60% crit chance in raid , you can think about AP increase but if you not..... !
