I wish the expertise was replaced with hit. I find there's well over twice as many items with expertise as compared to hit.

Does any1 noticed the weird lower socket bonus on this helm?
All other lvl 80-ish WotLK helmets have a socket bonus equal to half of a blue WotLK gem value (+8agi, +8 crit rating, +8 haste rating, ...). This one have +12 Attack Power wich is half of a WotLK green gem value.
Sould't it be +16 Attack Power?

I beg to differ. I've been raiding now as a feral druid in 25 mans in wrath. About 33% of my dmg is from white melee attacks, which is the same as a mutilate rogue or an enh shammy or hunter (based on recount reports). just the white dmg melee mind you, so from that aspect it's equally important for us as it is for those three classes. now. pre wrath i concur it was pretty worthless as our white dmg was terrible. You also need to remember that omen of clarity is now a straight proc chance off of white attacks, the more white attacks you do the more omen of clarity procs you will have. Well it may not be as important as other stats, it is definitely not useless.

Expertise is a valuable stat, even if you are behind a boss mob there is still around a 6.5% chance for the boss to dodge attacks made from behind. I agree there are a lot of expertise items around these days but it is an important stat. Not to mention on certain fights like thaddius/heigan (to name a few) where it is near impossible to stay on a mobs back 100% of the time, expertise actually becomes one of the best stats to have in those fights.

All in all for a rogue this is the second best helm in the game, the tier 7 helm is better though.

Again no. You think that just because it adds up to 33% of your damage, that your melee hits are as important to your damage as a rogues is? Heh, wow. First of all, there is something called a proc, its commonly termed or phrased in such lines like "Proc rates and procs per minute"... Rogues have this awesome thing that adds up to, yeah about 26% of our damage called poisons, which PROC and scale with haste, mutilate rogues also have FA whichs PROCS on every crit and scales with haste, obviously. I'm no feral druid, but I'm pretty sure you don't have anything marginally comparable to a rogue in the terms of haste scaling department.

Yeah, mutilate rogues, not all. I myself am a combat rogue and I can see where a feral druid is coming from. Think about it this way. All those times you were jamming on the "2" key, doesn't add up to just right clicking and sitting back, for both classes.

Dude, if the fact that every one of your posts being downranked into purged status doesn't point out you're misinormed and should stop posting, then I don't know what else to tell you but read more before posting incorrect information.

As far as this helm is concerned, it's a great piece but if you've got a drood tank in your raid it should go to them first since rogues have quite a few other pieces to get expertise from, while drood gear is all over the place in itemization - they don't get any expertise on the tier helm. Sure the AP is going to waste on a tank, but if he needs to go cat for some dps on some less tank-heavy bosses they've got it.

This seems to be equivalent (if not better) than the T8 head for Feral tanks. If you use this over T8:

-5 base armor
-8 attack power
-46 armor pen
-70 critical strike
+10 agility
+1 stamina
+35 expertise
+50 haste

They seem pretty equivalent. I'd imagine if you were expertise capped T8 would be more attractive.

Now to convince the rogues to stop winning it over me (note: I'm not saying this can't be a rogue helm - it obviously is. Before you roll, though, consider how many other options there is in just Naxx for rogues compared to the fact that the next considerable upgrade isn't until Mimiron, arguably one of the hardest bosses in the game).

I'll probably get downrated for trying to convince rogues that this is better for tanking.
