I'm a resto druid and the mangle idol is useless for me when I'm soloing this provided me with a cheap and easy to obtain Idol that was of use to me in my feral gear. Completing the repeatable quest also is a source of free XPS and a little break from the dull quest grind.

Great Idol if you're PVE/PVP Resto and prefer to go cat for questing/soloing (since you are without Mangle).

it doesn't seem that useful for druids. once you get maul you don't use claw any more.

what do you mean usless for feral druids. are you stupid? what do you think this is for caster druids. incase you havn't noticed there really isn't very many caster idols and if there is there not that easy to get. if you think that + 30 damage to each claw and rake ability is usless than i have no idea what you use feral druids for.

this idol is sweet but it's not crap. It matters if your a feral druid or a balance druid. resto druids can use this too if they are in cat form soloing but this isn't crap. +30 to rake a claw is nice. think before you think it is crap dude.

Mangle takes the place of claw, if you are 41 point feral you would be dumb to use claw, it's a plain and simple waste of energy, period. both take 40 energy (for those looking at this that arent druids)and mangle does way more damage.

Dont make me laugh. This is one of the better idols ive seen for a 40 feral 21 resto druid ive yet to see. I dropped mangle for natures swiftness in doing so i lose some major damage. This idol helps me make up for that damage i miss out on.

Well my self I'm 0/31/21 druid at lvl 61 for the instant heals but giving the mangle ability up so for me this is perfect for.

Although 41 point Feral Druids will use Mangle instead of Claw, this isn't bad to fill your slot at 62 for the increase to Rake. Still hard to call this a blue when there's Idol of the Wild available at 63 from https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=10132/巨人的威胁

At least until you get an idol to drop or think you'll get more use from the Harold's Rejuvenating Broach from https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=9852/终极挑战 at 68.

Why do people call this useless?

Equip: Increases the damage of your Claw and Rake abilites by 30.

If you don't have Mangle, (and Resto and Balance druids won't) that's an AWSOME bump up in power.

But if you are feral, and have Mangle...
Half of Mangle's fun is that it increases Bleed effects. 30% more bleeding!

And what is the easist in-combat bleed effect? RAKE!

Rake 4: lvl 54:
Rake the target for (AP/100+55) bleed damage and an additional (75+AP*0.06) damage over 9 sec. Awards 1 combo point.

So... you are bumping up the dammage Rake does with the idol. It's a WIN / WIN proposition.

Are there better idols? Sure. But this is well worth 15 marks. to get a nice lift up in dammage in cat form.

Even with the bonus rake is a waste of energy when u should be spending your energy on Shred with the mangle bonus for real dmg. But yes, if you are not full feral im sure this would be just fine for grinding as a resto spec. But thats it.

No Idol is useless. With proper use of macros you can make each of your attacks more efficient. Even tho switching items yields a 1 sec cooldown, I find i need time for energy to recharge in Kitty mode most of the time anyways...why not switch to the proper idol for your next attack while you're waiting for the energy to attack in the first place? Keep all Idols except those which superceed other idols.
