This is one of the new flying mounts and is bought by the gryphon vendor in honours hold. This mount is as fast as your normal level 60 epic mounts but can fly, for 100g (or 80g) this mount is yours.

This is indeed one of the new flying mounts, available at 60. However, the mount costs 100g (no discount available) and the training to ride it is 800g, so you have to spend 900g total. On top of this, this mount is actually slower than your epic mount, running on the ground and flying at 60% speed.

This mount is bought from Wildhammer Keep in Shadowmoon Valley, the settlement of the Wildhammer Dwarves in Outland.

The "golden" gryphon looks exactly like the flight-path gryphon from the Human and Dwarf lands in Azeroth.

Quick correction, they are NOT available untill you reach 70, not 60.

you have to get the skill to ride this (225 riding skill) before you can get the epic flying mount (300 riding skill).

Hey, I have a level 69 Hunter on Moon Guard that I am just now getting to 70....soon. "This Mount does not have a Reputation Discount" so you could be Honored, Exhaulted, Revered. ect. and it will still cost the same wich is currently 900g ! Wich is a good deal casue in one the most rescent patches the prices whent down they use to be 1300g all together Trainning included wich was about maybe less than a Month of grinding in let's say Shadowmoon Valley or Netherstorm. The NPC that sell's this is located in the Alliance Town of Wilhammer Stronghold and not sure on Horde sorry. Near the back of the Fortress there is a couple of stand's and a well he is near the well but not right next to it you'll see sorta of Stable looking Building like the one in Dun'Baldar of Alterac Valley. There in Wildhammer Stronghold you can purchase the trainning and the mount and look at some other Gryphon's such as the Snowy Gryphon or the Epic Gryphon's wich are a little over 5000 gold at the moment.

I know I took some you guy's Info from above but I just wanted to put it all up and make it a little more understandable for some people. "Please I can understand for giving me a Negative Rating" !

Oh, and no Reputation with anyone is required to purchase the Mount just walk up to trainner and vandor with 900g and there you go ! (Only usable in the Outland's Area and maybe in Northrend of the upcoming Exspansion "Wrath of the Lich King, 2008" !

As of 3.2 flying mounts will be avaible for use at level 60, an upgrade seeing how flying mounts go to waste almost as soon as you hit 70 and continue to northrend.

Epic fly: level 70
Normal fly: level 60
Epic Ground: level 40
Normal Ground: level 20

Epic fly: 5000g
Normal fly: 600g

its unfair for those of the original game and burning crusade who had to pay so much more and wait so much longer and also blizzard claimed to pay back the money to those who payed more for epic and regular flyers and ground mounts but they never did. im not 100% sure but if you send in a ticket they would probably give you back the money. for example. i got exaltedted with all cities back when epic mounts were 80 gold. i got them all at 80 and 8 gold regular and i got my regular flyer for 900 instead of 600. so i couldve saved a total of 940 gold on epic and regular ground mounts and 250 gold off of regular flyer so a total of 1190 gold total should be returned to me if i send in a ticket to blizzard. if not blizzards just gay
