Gear in this guide is primarily obtained from Naxxramas, Obsidian Sanctum, and Eye of Eternity. This guide will list the recommended gear for your class and role, containing gear sourced from raids, dungeons, PvP, professions, BoE World drops, and reputations.
Best in Slot Gear for Restoration Shaman Healer in Phase 1
Restoration

Tier 7 set has a fine 4p bonus in
Spirit Link Chain Heal Boost
(~150 Spell Power on CH and HW), and while the 2 set,
Water Shield Boost
, is weaker (~50 Mp5), the individual pieces are strong enough that it is worthwhile to aim for tier pieces when gearing, with the gloves being the weakest piece, as

is both extremely strong and mostly useful for Restoration Shamans!
Spell Haste
is a particularly strong stat which increases your throughput and ability to reactively heal. This does come at a cost to your Mana pool if you are spamming heals without pause, however. Gemming pure

is a strong throughput option but comes at a very high Mana cost when compared to using mostly

, and thus would mostly be recommended for short fights or for Yellow sockets.

Whenever possible, try to use shields if they have comparable stats to the off-hands at your disposal, as that will make any physical damage that comes your way much more manageable and they can be enchanted. This is a terrible guide. Wrath Strike is the BiS weapon because Torch of Holy Fire looks incredibly lame and Wrath Strike is a MAGICAL FIST WEAPON!

Where is Jet'ze's Bell?
Why the hell is Soul Preserver there when Soul of the Dead exists?
Totem of the Bay is always your best until Ulduar, anyone using the other Relic is inflating their iLvl.
Why are you going for every single socket bonus? 4 Intellect, really? Just gem full Runed or Reckless and take a Tear or Green gem for your meta.
Life-Binder's Locket? Scared of Hit rating? Take the Haste necklace so you can keep getting more haste...
I swear half these "guides" they just use a website to auto-populate the gear selection.

As a note, Soul Preserver also Procs off Earth Shield. I've had it proc when i was out of combat but the tank ran in with earth shield on.
