Welcome to Wowhead's Pre-Raid Best in Slot Gear list for Frost Mage DPS in Wrath of the Lich King Classic. This guide will list the recommended gear for your class and role, containing gear sourced from dungeons, PvP, professions, BoE World drops, and reputations.
Best in Slot Gear for Frost Mage DPS Pre-Raid
Frost Mages do respectable damage in pre-raid gear while also providing some interesting buffs such as

. With the help of

and certain raid debuffs, it's easier to get Hit capped than it is as Frost . This allows for a few more offensive stats through gems but overall the gear is very similar.
Hit - Aim for 11% Hit Rating from gear, we get

and have access to the raid debuffs

to reach the Hit Cap at 17%
Spell Power - Having higher spell power will increase the damage of the spells themselves.
Haste Rating - Will increase the total amount of casts per fight.

There's not a lot of worthwhile options to aim for as an Frost Mage when it comes to chestpieces.
This is because the best pre-raid options are both very easy to obtain:

is the best option for this slot by a fair margin compared to the rest of the WOTLK items.

is second best item here, partly because of good stats, but also because it has 3 gem sockets allowing for a big boost compared to TBC. Thirdly there's

but without the flexibility of multiple gem options. Lastly,

is highly recommended as it's easy to farm and outperforms all other options.

is third best option especially if you can use the Hit from it. Lastly,

As a side note, both

respectively. They will be very expensive and hard to get early though, so I didn't base the list on it as their stats somewhat impact what the rest of the set would look like. If you are intending to buy one of these two:

will be better later on as you get more of your best in slot Hit gear.
冲动之靴
will help you gear up by not having to sacrifice stats for Hit, but gets replaced later on.

"Pre-raid BiS" is the title... that means BEFORE raiding...
This post has so many raid pieces listed I had to look twice to make sure it wasn't "phase 1 BiS". Definitely not as helpful as other class lists. Might just want to add more of those items you can actually get BEFORE joining a 25 Naxx
