In technical terms, this achievement takes 250 to 300 hours to complete. Each game lasts 30 minutes with a 2 hour and 30 minute wait time between each battle (0.5 + 2.5 = 3, 3*100=300).

In realistic terms, lets assume that you are hard-core for this achievement and play 10 hours a day. In 10 hours it is possible to complete 3 games (maybe 4 give or take a few minutes). 3 games a day would mean that it would take 34 days to complete this achievement - still noting that you are working on this achievement at a hard-core rate. This also takes into account that you are winning every game, which on most realms is not realistic. Calculate your server's win-loss ratio (50:50 for example) and this could lead to a more realistic number of 64 days to complete.

So if your looking to complete this achievement, expect it to take at least 34 days.

I highlty advise Blizzard to take preventive precautions against afk botting in wintergrasp to get this achievement, I'm not sure if they thought about it. But some vicious people could just bot in there, and even if they get 1 mark per win every 5 hours or so, their number of wins would increment. I hope you need like 1 HK or something to be eligible to win wintergrasp and not just sit in there.
Because sometime I see people not answering or anything, not mining either, and not afk, so I have no idea what they are doing and it came into my mind.

Would be the same for all others 100 wins achievement, they are very demanding achievements, if you can trick to get them it's quite unfair. Even if however hardcore achievements players would be advised to do it the right way in order to get the 500000 Hks achievement along the way, which can't be tricked.

That's the reason why IMO achievement like "didn't stand a chance" must not be nerfed. They hard enought to be done "along the way". The only fix required would be that the faction who benefit a lot of tenacity don't have advantage over this achievement, looks quite unfair.

Lastly they should really think about making the Grand Black War Mammoth purchasable with a High amount of wintergrasp marks like 2 or 3 hundred of them. But they either have to do it fast or never do it at all, because it would be sick if people buy their way to the mount once it loot, lets say 20k gold or something to the winner of the roll, then discover they nerf it someway.oo

I noticed today that despite winning lake wintergrasp I did not get credit for this achievement.

I joined late in the battle and probably did not manage to get any HKs before the battle finished, so that might be an extra requirement.
