Well, if you have the crown from the reward of the quest from previous years, you'll get the achievement.

My paladin had the crown from 2008 and she got the title atm ^^

The way you do it is you go to Thunderbluff, Ogrimar and Undercity or Ironforge, Stormwind and Darnassus and steal the flames. When you click the bonfire you will get an item thats starts a quest to return it to the Loremaster. Once all three are returned you'll get this. Hope this helps.

I'm unsure if you need Silvermoon or Exodar as I haven't made my way up there yet. Can anyone confirm this?

silvermoon is required for alliance. i would imagine then that exodar is required as well for horde.

Not sure about before but now each city has a lootable flame that starts a quest. Upon completion of all the horde or alliance cities based on your fraction you complete A Thieft's Reward and the achievment.

Horde players: your 4 targets are: Darnassus and The Exodar on the continent of Kalimdor and Ironforge and Stormwind City on the continent of the Eastern Kingdoms

Tips on reaching the 2 in Kalimdor:
from Orgrimmar fly to BloodVenom post in Felwood...carefully natigate down the falls on the western border (yes fall down 5 tiers of cliffs) and once at the bottom ride north along the coast to the Alliance city of Auberdine. Ride into the town and out onto the long pier There are 3 ships you can gain passage on. As you go down this dock your choices are straight, left, or right. The straight path ahead will lead you to the Exodar. The dock heading towards the right takes you to a small village on the coast outside Darnassus. At the northern end of this village is the portal into Darnassus. The Flame of Darnassus is here at this village and not in Darnassus...so if u miss it or are trying to find it inside the city your f'd in the A.

Once you click on the giant bonfire the Flame of whatever city will enter your inventory ...

These flames when clicked upon start a quest...in which u return them to Orgrimmar.

I looted the flame of Exodar and delivered the quest yesterday.
Earlier today I visited Darnassus, Ironforge and Stormwind, looted their respective flames and delivered them.

Yet I did not get the achievement. Anyone else experiencing the same problem ?

EDIT: And yes, I did check on the npc for any sign of a quest as mentioned in several posts, but no quest in sight.

THIS IS ONLY FOR ALLIANCE

***results may very depending on what server you are on cuz there might be more horde to try and kill you or less***

All you have to steal the flame from each of the hordes 4 main citys
just click on the fire and a flame will cover you for 2 sec and then you will get an item in your bag
and after you get all 4 go to Ironforge and right click them at the Ironforge flame and the guy will be right there

-Thunder Bluff is easy when you come from the elevators go to the left around the water and left again to the first ramp that you see that it will be right up the hill across the bridge

-Orgrimmar is hard if you dont know were to go when you fist go in go to the left and up the ramp keep going untill you see another ramp going down right beside you and you should see a tower that goes up take it and when you come out at the top go left and follow the path and you will see it on the right (not down the tunnel)

-Underctiy is super easy just go in and its right on the left (there is not need to go in the city at all and if you go into any tunnel or elevator then you passed it)

-Silvermoon City is easy if you know where you are going when you first come in go straight down the hall and then a left, up a ramp and down another hall and when you get to a water fountain its on the left

(note) if you are still having trouble finding it after reading all this then just go it the city and die someplace that no one can see you when you spawn and just look around the city while you are a ghost)

the alliance fires are at:

The quests you have to complete for this achievement are count in the chain.

Just for clarification -

You don't need to be on a quest prior to extinguishing the flames; you get an item for extinguishing each flame that starts its own quest which you then turn in in one of your own factions' cities.

If you don't want to look at coordinates for this achieve, I found out that after you finish the two Twilight Cult quests in Zoram Strand and you are on the quest "Inform the Elder", it shows the quest location for the elders for both Alliance and Horde capitals via the in-game Quest Objective finder.

Just hit M and follow the yellow question mark.

I had the Crown of the Fire Festival in my inventory from pre-WolK. I was able to pick up the quest and hand it right back in to get a second one. Glad I don't have to sneak into those four capitals again.

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a way to tell which city fires you stole last year. I stole 3 of the 4 last year and I can't remember which one I didn't get to. I checked the achievement tab ingame but it doesn't say anything other then to steal the flames. I don't want to have to go back to each city just to try and figure it out. If anyone can help me out that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Best thing is to not accept the quests from the items in your bags from the faction cities until you are ready to turn em all in at same time.

The quest for this achievement has no level requirement anymore. I am very sure about this, and my level 1 char loves it's Crown of the Fire Festival :)
