This comment is not about unlocking Queen's Conservatory or explaining the Incubation process, the game will guide you through this with quests, etc. Just my 2... cents on the Conservatory functionality (everything is based on Beta testing early October Build 9.0.2.36086 and a quick review 30h before launch in Build 9.0.2.36710)

Spirit Quality & Origins

there are some special legendary spirits that I'm not covering here, please check 寧靜的星穹神靈變幻的知識神靈活潑的好奇神靈 for comments
regular spirits exist in uncommon, rare and epic quality
the quality of spirits has zero effect on the quality of the rewards
the quality of spirits will increase the chance to find bonus loot on top of guaranteed satchels (containing crafting materials, consumables etc.)

spirits exist in 4 different versions representing each Shadowlands zone
the origin of a spirit affects & limits the type of bonus loot rewarded from the 女王的栽培園儲藏箱
yet no clue if origin also limits the type of fish/herbs you get from satchel reward, I don't think so

Catalysts / Catalyst Seeds

Important: Always make sure to fill 靈魄催化區s before using Seeds/Spirits on a connected 重生的野性種子, otherwise they won't affect the incubating & rewards at all!
there are 3x types of catalysts (野性種子根粒野生夜綻花時光之葉)
there are 3x types of catalyst seeds (野性種子根粒種子野生夜綻花種子時光之葉種子 sold by 種子商人拂曉) to be independent from other sources
catalysts are active for 12 hours (but Wildseeds will remember all catalysts being active at the start of their 孵化中 process)
when incubation times are reduced to 1 hour with 時光之葉 in theory catalysts can affect up to 12 incubation processes
野性種子根粒 determine the quality of rewards (if you're wondering about 3x also giving Rare loot and being pointless... it was bugged and rewarded empty caches, so that is the fix)

Incubation Times

basic incubation time for all spirit qualities has been equalized (did vary from 7-5 days earlier in Beta)
the incubation time of a spirit can be lowered by 24 hours for each 時光之葉 used in connected catalyst slots
incubation times can only be reduced to a minimum of 1 hour

Bonus Loot from Queen's Conservatory Cache

unfortunately the Devs decided to change the former rare and epic weapons & tome to be cosmetics only (would have been a nice source for great weapons not requiring max level to sell in AH or use on alts) and added cosmetic shields
not listing stuff looted on top of common/uncommon satchels (see full list of bonus loot)
never seen any of the following bonus loot when incubating uncommon Spirits so I leave them out too

Recommendations

Always make sure to fill 靈魄催化區s before using Seeds/Spirits on a connected 重生的野性種子, otherwise they won't affect the incubating & rewards at all!
If you're only aiming for crafting materials, use your lowest quality spirits. Keep epic (and maybe rare) spirits for attempts on bonus loot. Apart from cosmetic Main Hand & Off Hand items, each bonus loot seems to be rewarded only once per character in Queen's Conservatory (incl. battle pets).
Prioritize yield over quality on satchels, but at least use 1x 野性種子根粒 for uncommon satchels.
If you want to stack up on catalysts, use at least 1x 時光之葉 to reduce incubating to 1 hour and fill the other connected catalyst slots with 野生夜綻花. Start incubating new catalyst seeds as often as possible within the 12h duration of these catalysts. This way you'll get more catalyst compared to waiting one day for a "big" number.

The Queen’s Conservatory is an area like a soul garden and works in a similar way to the Pandaria´s Farm.
Like that garden, you will tend, expand, and upgrade plots, fertilizing them with special catalysts to encourage new powers and perks.

In this garden two kind of items to use and two kind of spots where to use em.
Items are Catalysts and Seeds/Spirits. Seeds/Spirits are the thing you plant and Catalyst is the thing you use to empower a Seed/Spirit. Both things, spirits and catalyst, are available in 3 levels, green, blue and purples.
Spots where to use items are Plots and Willd seeds of regrowth. You will use catalysts in plots and you will use Seeds/Spirits in wild seed of regrowth bubbles.

About Seeds/Spirits colours is as always, purple better than blue and blue better than green.

About catalysts colours there are different functions. Green ones reduce the time to incubate a seed; Blue ones increase the amount of rewards the seed will bring to you; and Purple ones increase the quality of rewards the seed will bring to you once ends the incubation.
Standard incubation time is 5-7 days.

As in Pandaria Farm, you will have to work over the time doing quests, earning renown and etc to unlock all the spots and utilities available inside Queens Conservatory. You will need several weeks to make it work at full potencial, and once you reach that point, the “farm” will have 6 spots to plant Seeds/Spirits and 8 spots to put catalysts so you will have some seeds affected by one catalyst, some affected by two catalyst, some affected by three and one affected by four catalyst.
You will have to choose where to put every item to put the effects you want to inside every Seed/Spirit because that will determine the loot you will gain.
If you mostly work with green and blue catalyst and spirits-seeds, you will mostly earn materials. The mix you performs in terms of Seeds/Spirits with catalysts will determine the kind of materials and the amount you will receive.

If you work with a purple Seed/Spirit and with purple and blue Catalyst, in order to have that purple Seed/Spirit empowered by four catalysts, you will receive from that seed not only materials, also an object. A weapon, a toy, a pet, a cosmetic.

Some people talks bout Queens Conservatory as a money maker for alts, but put in mind that is not that easy to fully upgrade the Farm, its not that easy to get six good seeds and eight good catalysts per week, in order to make it work at full potencial.
Also take into consideration that you will not choose which materials you will receive and in the beggining while leveling all proffesions you will take use for all but soon 80% mats you gain will go straigh to the AH, as everyone, so imagine the prices.
This kind of Farm is great yeah, but its not so good to determine Night Fae covenant to be choosen just to have the Farm.

This place is so incredibly beautiful -- Ardenweald, for the most part, is dreamlike in its beauty.
I was astounded the first time I flew into Ardenweald on that Flight Master's 蘊魔永恆龍鰻...
I legitimately was completely speechless, absolutely floored by the endless beauty.
After Legion, I was skeptical that this game could turn out a zone more beautiful than Suramar.
I now know that Ardenweald is the pinnacle of beauty that WoW will achieve.

...for the next couple expansions, at least. :P

I hope one day I learn how to lucid dream so I can spend my slumber in a place exactly like this!
100% not joking about that. I never learned to lucid dream and it makes me so jealous that others can!

I planted my seeds and realized I wanted to hit some rares that I needed to be Venthyr for. I swapped to Venthyr and did my stuff and then I switched back to Night Fae and my pods were still cooking. It does NOT reset them. Just worth mentioning.
