Does this seem broken to anyone else? I /sniff Myrrit at 55,57 Loamm but it doesn't trigger completion for the trading post activity. "while searching for treasure in a cave..." must be the key to actually completing it; of course I'm terrible at riddles and have yet to find a 'cave' within the giant cave he's already in! ugh /facepalm

You have to go on a dig with Myritt, target him (Ctrl + Tab) and emote /sniff

For people that aren't English you have to /sniff at him when using a map (/renifler won't work even if it's really what is written in the trading post activity)

You have to get a small distance from Myrrit so that he does not jump on you. Once you can highlight him without him jumping on you do the emote /sniff . Congrats.
