NOTE: You will, hit Exalted, much quickly than 200 comendations. I've just got revered. and I'm sitting on 81 Commendations.

It is 200 Commendations, and requires you to be exalted with Hellscreams reach, for the actual "Reins" to be bought. So far, as far as I know, there are 12 quests that offer these Commendations. Each give 1 so everyday you can get 12. In about 18 days you can obtain the mount from your respective faction, and you get to ride these sweet mount =D

genesis0x0 posted a good guide on the availible daily quests.

Despite the obvious distaste for comments dealing with the appearance of this mount, I find it necessary to do just that. Having just purchased the drake, I was surprised to see that the model viewer does not properly show the glowing effect on this drake's body. Instead of the pale green solid lines visible here, this drake actually glows from the "lines" (I think they look more like cracks) in its skin. One of very few mounts with a unique aura about them, and possibly the most easily obtainable.

*EDIT* In the latest patch, this drake was updated with extra glow, making it look even better!

This drake has become fairly ubiquitous lately, making it much less 'cool' imo.

Just hit Exalted now, with 157 commendations. That is with 5 maximum of wins that awarded 3 commendations each and 2 of the TANK quest awarding 2 commendations. The rest just dailies.

I love this mount personally, the colors are lovely, the glowing patterns are awesome, it's just beautiful. If I could get a figure print of it I would.

I just got this mount today and I noticed how silent it is. When doing the /mountpsecial emote, it spreads its wings and roars without sound. Also, it doesn't have a landing sound like the other mounts or the annoying "WHOOSH" sound when taking off (which I'm actually happy about).

I thought this was odd for a drake, but very minor because it looks so cool :)

I'd like to point out, being the grammar nazi that I am, this says "This is a flying mount" twice...

"Summons a rideable Drake of the West Wind. This is a flying mount. This is a flying mount."

gg blizz... gg

so this cool glow everyone talks about. is it even more apparent on this mount compared to the drake of the NORTH wind? and the other winds as well? if so i'd be interested in this one over the North I already have. i assumed they were all the same models just different color

what does flight speed 150%/280%/310% mean? does that mean it goes as fast as your fastest flying mount? and if so, if i have a 280% speed one now and in the future get a 310% will it go 310%?
